💥 End of Day Recap with Jules - What I hear!
As a Trainer who speaks to a looooot of people every day, I hear many things which of course causes me to either educate or motivate folk.
I REPEAT MYSELF A LOT…… that’s ok because I have and will always share my knowledge.
✅ DO NOT skip breakfast no no no. Eat something, feed your brain, regulate your sugar levels and fire up your metabolism. SORRY all this I don’t eat breakfast, just eat something small such as a piece of fruit, small full fat yoghurt.
✅ I cannot lose weight because of the menopause, NOT TRUE! Simply adjust your calories, portions, sleep a little more and if you are sedentary focus on quality calories not junk. The menopause DOES NOT stop you losing weight FACT 👊
✅ I have never liked exercise. Don’t think of movement as exercise, think of movement as a way to enhance your life, mood and to improve your health. You are designed to move and the body doesn’t like sitting, sitting and sitting. The negative impact of sitting is HUGE. Sores, stiffness, swelling, low mood, muscle wastage, decreased mobility, weight gain.
✅ I don’t eat vegetables, whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat not one vegetable COME ON. There are a variety of vegetables out there eaten raw or cooked. OPEN your mind because you are not that child anymore.
Just a few things I heard today. I always say KEEP YOUR MIND OPEN and try new things.
If your weight is out of control, you’ve noticed niggles or prolonged poor health, just start making achievable changes 👊
👉 Are you exercising but seeing no weight loss?
You are what you eat it’s true and exercise and a healthy diet do work beautifully together.
If weight loss is your goal KEEP IT SIMPLE, but fresh and colourful.
✅ This salad and steak has taken me just 15 minutes, it’s fresh, colourful and tasty.
🥗 I whizzed up some fresh ginger, parsley, chilli, spring onion with extra virgin olive oil and tossed it into the salad.
The only way to lose weight is to build a healthy relationship with real food, not shakes, juices, takeaways, heated up foods, foods in boxes, tins or beige foods.

I’m 52….. and to this day, my age does not factor in anything I do.
and I refuse to be defined by my age or let anyone tell me their age is what stops them progressing.
✅ ALL women of every age are capable of strengthening their bodies, building muscle and improving their fitness and mobility FACT.
I assess every client or class member on how they move, their exercise history, mindset, current fitness level and……………

IT DOESN’T, FACT.

I have helped open thousands of mindsets who have shaken their heads, said they’re too busy, not believed, used age, ailments, conditions past injuries which happened years ago, old school memories and the heredity cards for over 20 years.

BUT this will never stop me.
Because I know exercise, movement, an open mind and healthy diet WORK WORK WORK.

💥 5 ACHIEVABLE TOP TIPS TO STAY WELL 💥
☀️ Great news about wearing masks being relaxed now at GWH. Of course optional and a personal choice where allowed. YES must be worn for really vulnerable patients and certain areas.
I had some lovely chats today on the Trauma ward, one lady had been a midwife and she was so jolly and smily. She would have cheered up expecting mums.
Another lady wanted me to dance to cheer her up, she had a window view and was watching the day pass. Two cheeky chaps heckled my tea trolley and had become best buddies whilst they were there healing.
Everyone has different ways to cope and make time pass. Despite some very poorly people there’s always time to smile and to find a reason to be positive.
The amazing staff do an incredible job as I am fortunate to be part of twice a week. So please be patient because the NHS are working flat out and demand is higher than the services and care available.
💥 5 TOP TIPS
1. Drink up to 4 pints of water each day, your cells need water.
2. Stand up as much as you can and move, walk or potter. Circulation and joint stiffness are improved via movement.
3. Find ways to stay active or exercise which fit into your world, are fun and become normal.
4. Self care starts with you valuing your health and making time to focus on you. You only have so much energy to give others.
5. PLAN the time to move and exercise by setting alarm reminders, block out 30 minutes in your calendar or commit by signing up to a class or event.
Don’t wait until tomorrow, TIME waits for no one, you are living now 🙏
🔥 3 LUNGES FOR HIP & LEG STRENGTH🔥
I absolutely love showing my clients and class members the endless variety of ways to move and exercise.
Lunges are functional and a great way to add strength into your workouts. The body loves change and will always respond to different movement patterns and exercises.
👉 60 secs of each and repeat. Aim to include twice a week. Plant front heel and look up for each rep.

Try not to be one dimensional in your training or activities as the body plateaus after just a few weeks. Strength for women is 100% crucial as we age for weight loss, osteoporosis and to reduce mechanical issues.
