🌟 Excited to kick off Virtual Production Appreciation Month with 'All the Old Knives' on Amazon Prime Video ! 🎬 Embark on a cinematic journey directed by Janus Metz Pedersen, featuring Chris Pine, Thandiwe Newton, Laurence Fishburne, Jonathan Pryce, and David Dawson. The film unfolds a gripping narrative around an eight-year-old hijacking case, weaving perspectives and timelines. Amidst travel restrictions and challenges, the production relocated to the UK, where iMAG Displays fashioned a mobile LED setup sans roof loading, and integrated our ROE Visual Black Onyx 2, Brompton Technology SX-40, and Disguise media servers. The culmination? A sprawling curved screen, incorporating filming plates from the initial shooting site, flawlessly transposing Southern California's essence to the UK. Here, the production could capture the golden hour without restriction. Thank to Chris for the awesome post and to all the teams' incredible hard work!!!!! “Really excited to settle in for the first episode of new series ’CHLOE’ from Mam Tor Productions for Amazon Studios and BBC, airing TONIGHT at 9pm BBC1 I had the privilege of being Virtual Production Producer on the show. It was such a pleasure working with the wonderfully talented Catherine Goldschmidt (Cinematographer) and Alice Seabright (Director) and their lovely cast and crew to deliver all the Simtrav for their in-car scenes. This was achieved via the ‘Car Wash’, a bespoke 300degree driving volume that we designed with our fantastic #LED and rigging partners IMAG and Production Rigging, and utilised live action plates captured by Jeff Brown and his Brownian Motion team. We also delivered #ICVFX for another scene, utilising UE4 and a separate IMAG LED build, where we had to create a digital environment to match the real world location and weather from a previous part of the shoot. A big tip of the hat to Paul Hamblin for the execution here. Super exciting and we really had a great time delivering all of this! All of our sections were shot at The Bottle Yard Studios last year. It was such a great experience all round. I believe this was massively helped by both the early engagement/conversations from the core creative and production team and, just as importantly, the fact that they were so embracing of the entire LED / ICVFX pipeline from the get go, approaching the whole process in a truly collaborative way!
