My next must have on the yard is my Hippo. She is 6 years old and has just come back from her annual service at Hippo towers where they always make her feel better with any tired bits replaced and a really good clean inside and out. The horses appreciate the warm water as we do like everyone to be squeaky clean here. Nutty had a much needed bath this morning ready for a weekend away with British Horseball this weekend.
I would love to hear about your must haves. One of mine is Saracens Recovery Mash. It is so easy and all my horses love it. I use it whenever the horses are doing extra work. We even took a bag to Italy and France last year when Callie competed out there. Sound up for the video of Nutty enjoying hers at the British Horseball league weekend.

It is official you are never too old to do something new with your horse. Today I have had a blast. Over the years I have done many things with my horses but mainly Eventing and hunting. Well today I made the leap to Division 2 Horseball on my baby 5 year old ex racer. I have been made to feel so welcome and have had so many lovely comments from the horseball community. What's great is I get to do it all again tomorrow. My horse seems to really enjoy it, especially the going fast bits. Thank you Amelie for the gorgeous photo.

Fed up with wet conditions and want a stable surface to ride on? I have some limited availability for lessons this week Tuesday and Thursday, good flood lighting if you need evening sessions. I am now also qualified level 1 in horseball so if you want to try something new, I'm more than happy to introduce you to this exciting equine sport.

All my lovely clients today stayed dry, however Ryan and I managed to catch the rain 🌧️. I do hope the rain stops soon otherwise I think my paddocks would be better suited to grow watercress! Glad to report my school still has no puddles yay. My diary is filling very fast for the Christmas holidays so if there is a particular date you want please let me know asap to avoid disappointment. Also if you are a regular who has a set slot please let me know if you are busy so I can offer it to someone else.

I feel totally spoilt today. One of my lovely clients sprung a surprise on me and I got to spend the afternoon making a lovely wreath. An act of such kindness has really made my day. My dad loved Christmas and I put a little Robin on the wreath just for him.
As all my regular clients are aware this has been a crazy year for me with my husband being very very poorly and finally getting his transplant in Addenbrookes in July. Then my amazing son representing GB in Italy in August followed by the Europeans champions League last week in France. This has meant I haven't been as available as normal due to lots of time spent in the hospital and lots of time getting Ryan to his Horseball training. Moving forward normal services should now resume as life should be returning to normal. For the first time in years....... I actually took last week off to drive Ryan to France and finally got to see him compete internationally, I even got to support from the side of the pitch, walking horses at half time, ensuring riders had water and ponies were kept cool, replacing broken tack, a real experience. Hopefully this is just the beginning of his exciting journey. Below is my proud mum moment when he scored his first international goal from a P1, thanks to the other mum who recorded this moment for me as I was down on the sideline where cameras and phones are not allowed .

Just a quick update to all my lovely clients, David has now had his liver transplant but the next few weeks will be hard with me spending lots of time at Addenbrookes. I will still be doing a tiny bit of teaching so if you have a lesson already booked unless I contact you it will still go ahead. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and I will be in touch as soon as life is more normal again.

News Flash: The dream is coming true. Today Ryan received the email confirming he has been selected to represent Great Britain in the European Horseball championships in Italy this August on the U16 team 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
He is now looking for sponsorship with packages starting at £100, or for those who just want to support him there are Golden raffle tickets at £10 each.
He has worked incredibly hard to get this far and we are so very proud of him and his magical pony.

I have a lovely client looking for their next pony. Ideally 14.2 Gelding. Pony will be loved and will ideally be a mother daughter share. Needs to be a genuine steady pony, will enjoy hacking being 100% in traffic is a must. They would like to have regular lessons and the tall 10 year old girl is currently learning to jump and this is something she would like to do more of. Must be sensible in company as they would like to do some pleasure rides. Doesn't need to be a world be**er but must be easy to handle, don't mind age so long as a nice kind pony. Looking to Loan/LWVTB/buy if sensible price

Polite notice.
Just a little reminder as I am not good at asking for money. Sadly as of 1st January all lessons increased to £35. Also my days are planned very carefully around your lessons so if you cancel last minute it would be appreciated if you pay for the time you booked. I am very lucky to do a job I enjoy however it is a job and I do need to pay my bills. Teaching is not a hobby it is my living.
Sorry now that's said onto brighter things. Happy New year, let's hope its a fab year for you all. I hope I can be a part of making your dreams come true x

This current cold snap is playing havoc with your training, might be a good time to set yourself some targets for the New Year and get some lessons prepaid ready for the year ahead. All lessons paid for before 31st Dec £30. I also do vouchers for Christmas presents.

I absolutely hate having to say what I am about to say but sadly I really cannot put it off any longer. As of 1st January 2023 I will need to increase my lesson price to £35 per hour, I am so sorry to all my lovely clients and I have held off this increase as long as I could but sadly without the increase I will need to go back to being a school teacher to pay my bills.
Anyone wanting to beat the increase I am happy to take pre payment for up to 10 lessons at the old price before 31st Dec for lessons to be taken in 2023.
