I would love to hear about your must haves. One of mine is Saracens Recovery Mash. It is so easy and all my horses love it. I use it whenever the horses are doing extra work. We even took a bag to Italy and France last year when Callie competed out there. Sound up for the video of Nutty enjoying hers at the British Horseball league weekend. #saracenhorsefeeds #britishhorseball #ror #chestnutmare

As all my regular clients are aware this has been a crazy year for me with my husband being very very poorly and finally getting his transplant in Addenbrookes in July. Then my amazing son representing GB in Italy in August followed by the Europeans champions League last week in France. This has meant I haven't been as available as normal due to lots of time spent in the hospital and lots of time getting Ryan to his Horseball training. Moving forward normal services should now resume as life should be returning to normal. For the first time in years....... I actually took last week off to drive Ryan to France and finally got to see him compete internationally, I even got to support from the side of the pitch, walking horses at half time, ensuring riders had water and ponies were kept cool, replacing broken tack, a real experience. Hopefully this is just the beginning of his exciting journey. Below is my proud mum moment when he scored his first international goal from a P1, thanks to the other mum who recorded this moment for me as I was down on the sideline where cameras and phones are not allowed .
Lovely afternoon coaching in the sun at Ely Eventing Centre . Here is a few of the lovely combinations from today, some new and some old combinations. I absolutely love cross country and really enjoy seeing clients gain in confidence. Good luck to everyone in the 2023 season.
The weeks seem to be flying by. Hope you all had a great weekend I certainly did. Taught all day Saturday then a early 4.45am alarm Sunday to compete in the last team chase of the season at Bicester. Well worth the early start and long drive. Hoping to treat myself to a gorgeous hedge photo so watch this space....... Now for the important bit, this week's extra special congratulations for success goes to Maisie. She asked to do a spread for the first time on her pony Diva tonight and was absolutely brilliant. She also had quite a few canters which is something she has been very weary of. Well done Maisie you are a super star 🌟
Another busy week and time to celebrate our next success. This week I want to say a massive well done to Sarah, she won't mind me saying she has to battle her nerves to achieve great things. In the last couple of weeks she has hacked, jumped and ridden in the wind. Canter has always been a bit of a battle but she is now cantering whole laps of the school. Well done Sarah and good luck for your dressage tomorrow.

Wow the last 2 weeks have been mega busy whilst doing all my normal teaching with a bit of juggling. I have supported one of my lovely clients at her first ever dressage show and she smashed it getting her first 2 frillies. Ryan had two fun trips to Houghton. Taught for pc Mounted games then a full day rally, such lovely children a joy to be around. Ryan also had a jolly hot day at The British Racing School which I highly recommend to anyone interested in racing age 9-15. I then taught a clinic at Lime kiln farm, such lovely facilities (video to show how nice the outdoor school is). Then to finish the week off Ryan and I volunteered at Little Downham Horse trails, having a rewarding day as arena party. A joy to watch some lovely partnerships. This week looks a bit calmer with normal lessons and a xc clinic at Bridgehouse on Saturday (a few spaces available). Maybe is back to Rossdales Thursday so please everyone cross your fingers for her.
Balancing the shoulders
How you ride between your fences to me is the key to a good jump. Today these two worked 30mins on the flat improving their connection before jumping. I'm so pleased with how Ryan is using his shoulders and keeping his hands still.
Maybe at liberty in early days
Ok so not her best work. (Think she knew Ryan was up to something) Watch her stroppy head, but she stayed with me on the circle and transitioned to trot when asked and then walked and halted when asked. Not bad considering I have only just started proper groundwork with her. I wouldnt normally work horses at liberty this early on but we already have a good connection. Considering only a week ago she she charging around with the line on and now I'm controlling her with body language alone with no line on that's a win in my book.
