***SALE NOW LIVE, SEE BUSINESS PAGE FOR DETAILS*** Gutted to be packing down owing to conditions here at No Man's Land Multi-Period Living History Event Sat 6th and Sun 7th April 2024 at Bodrhyddan Hall Wind is just too strong and forecast for another 24 hours. We just can't afford to risk the canvas. Event has now been pulled. Such a shame as it's a fab event and glorious sunshine. We will be doing a sale tomorrow to try and recoup lost income for the weekend. No idea when we'll get home as we will all need towing off-site.
So, after the huge success of our big clearance event last year, we have been stockpiling end of line, seconds, and no longer needed items in anticipation of another MASSIVE CLEARANCE SALE! We have an event for the sale, here: Quartermaster-Stores January Clearance Event Please click on the event, mark yourself as "going", set your phone reminder, and see you at 7pm next Friday when albums will drop!
Buff Coats - Preparation. All the seams are butt stitched (no overlapping). The first stage for this is prepping the holes for stitching. First I crease along the chosen seam to give uniform distance from the edge. Then the crease line is rolled with a stitch marker. This gives a nice regular line of impressions. I now use a very sharp awl and go through from the marks to the cut edge at an angle. This is done on both sides. As both have been prepped identically the holes match up nicely and make these Butt stitched seam (using saddle stitch) super neat.
