Many thanks to Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service for showing the ag students a car which was involved in a road traffic accident. The car was racing and was travelling around 50 miles an hour in a 30 zone when it clipped the curb, span and hit a tree side on. The driver sadly died in the accident and the two passengers suffered life changing injuries. The car had been modified in a number of ways, including an upgraded air filter and intercooler. The driver had not told the insurance company about these modifications, and as a result was uninsured. The passengers received zero compensation and financial help towards living with their injuries.
Lesson learnt :- do not speed, do not race. Take care when driving. Tell your insurer if you modify your car in any way
Ag year 2 students - good luck in your theory exam this afternoon! You are all great!
