Level 2 and 14-16 schools are working very hard getting their calves ready for the Christmas calf show, they have been washing their calves, walking them out and clipping them ready for the show. The show is on Wednesday the 6/12/23 starting at 10.30, with he showing starting at 11.00. Student are still collecting prizes for the calf show raffle, they are selling raffle tickets, we are raising money for YANA this year, please support if you can.
Myerscough Farms bringing third cut in today. A busy summer and although the students are on summer break we will keep you updated with reseeding, combining and 4th cut. Looking forward to seeing you all back in September. Have a good break.
This weekend we were pleased to host the Northern Regional Field Day on behalf of Lancashire YFC. It began on Friday where we showed Isle of Man YFC around the College Farms and Campus then yesterday to welcome over 700 YFC for a day of competitions. Well done all of you and to Lancashire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs for their excellent organisation.
Level 2 students have been busy preparing for the Christmas calf show, since the start of the term with picking their calf, halter training the calf to lead, clipping it up and washing them. The student will continue with this till show, which is at 12.00pm Tuesday the 7 of December.
