Today's workout was all about the gluts ....all I used was resistance band ...dumbells @ 3kg ( could use heavier but that's all I had to hand ) box to do lunges and footstool to elevate chest for hip thrusts ...it took me just under 10 minutes and you can always repeat twice round ...remember to control ..keep your form and go for it ... #Home workout #gluts #resistance #matwork #resistancebands #motivation

This is a go to quick 5 minute ab workout which I like to do after a run rather than taking hours out my day ...30 minute run / walk prog followed by the above ( ps don't judge me on the counts but I aimed for 12 reps of each / side : - lower leg ext x 12 -single leg lift with oblique twist x 12 -repeat other leg -ab curl twist to opposite knee -repeat other side - ab curl with single toe taps x 12 - repeat -full body stretch -ab curl double toe taps x12 - repeat .......... ........... As instructors of Pilates we talk about neutral pelvis ..... . Since the position of the pelvis is a major factor in determining how the rest of the body is aligned, if we understand where the pelvis is and how it affects our movement we will find more freedom, strength and power. Here is a simple exercise to practice this position ... * imagine your pelvis is a bowl of water * tilt your pubic towards your chin and your imaginary bowl of water would slosh over the back of the bowl ( flat back ) * tilt your pubic bone away from your chin and your water would slosh over the front of your bowl ( arch back ... lordotic ) * tilt up and down until your imaginary bowl of water is level .... Your own neutral pelvis ..... Try it ...... ❤️

How can you challenge your routine if you don’t have access to any equipment ? There are so many alternatives.... here there is no access to a reformer or core sliders so why not adapt ? Here I’m wearing dance leg warmers but socks are fine and of course a smooth surface ....sequence = Knees to chest / leg circles / climbers / leg raisers ....core is engaged , also working arms / shoulders and legs / gluts #pilatesreformercoreslideralternative❤️
