Videos by happy healthy outdoors. Giving women the skills and confidence to enjoy the outdoors more. Nature mindfulness teacher
Are you back to your usual routine today?
Are you feeling a little overwhelmed? There’s a lot going on.
Have you thought about practising a little nature mindfulness to give yourself a break?
This is a simple exercise you can do anywhere outside or even looking through a window.
Find somewhere suitable to stop for a few minutes.
Take five full breaths to relax and take a look around you.
Pause
Let your thoughts pass through your mind, observing them as they pass. Think of them as clouds passing through the sky. I like to look at the clouds in the sky as I do this. It’s particularly good when the clouds are moving quickly!
Remember that you are an observer. There’s no need to control or change your thoughts in any way. Try not to judge, just notice them. If you get distracted, don’t worry, just notice that thought and let it pass.
Pause
Keep watching your thoughts pass by. See them just float along. Notice them as they pass. Don’t judge yourself or your thoughts.
Stay as long as you want (but be mindful of the weather conditions!).
How good was that? Let me know how you got on 💚

Mindful Moments
Spending time outdoors is undoubtedly good for mental health. Natural sounds can help lower blood pressure and levels of the stress hormone cortisol promoting a more relaxed state.
The gentle sound of water flowing along a stream is one of the most relaxing sounds for me. Next time you’re out and about take a moment to notice the sounds of nature. In the meantime, here’s a little video of my local stream to enjoy.
