We've had a fantastic response to the news about our new acting classes 'Actual Acting'. Don't forget to register your interest in attending our free taster session on Tuesday 05th December, 6.00 – 08.00pm.

EXCITING NEWS! ‘A C T U A L A C T I N G’

Actual Size will be offering production led acting classes for over 18s in the Wakefield area. The focus will be on developing acting and character development techniques through practical application within a production context.

Headed up by professional drama teacher and long-term collaborator Thomas Windle, the weekly classes will provide an opportunity for emerging artists and practitioners to develop new skills and build on existing ability.

The sessions will be on Tuesday evenings at our base at the Mechanics theatre and will culminate in full-scale productions. A definite for those passionate about developing and maintaining their craft.

We will be offering a free taster session on Tuesday 05th December, 6.00 – 08.00pm. If you would like to attend, please email us @ [email protected] to register your interest.

David Coggins and Paul Dale-Vickers have teamed up to write a new musical 'The Unlikely Salvation of Xander Gibley'. Set in a high School, somewhere in America we are introduced to the complex, yet compelling lives of a group of high school students, who, for one day only are off curriculum, 'It's Career Day'! The endlessly optimistic Xander Gibley hopes to prove that they are so much more than just a high school counsellor as they devote the day to inspiring the students to make the most of their lives, only to find that it is their own salvation in question. The show is a heartfelt insight into the complex world of Generation Z. ‘TUSOXG’ is poignant, hilarious and full of heart with infectious tunes and a punchy script; this new musical is one not to miss. WARNING! contains strong language.
