Thank you Anxiety.

Thank you Anxiety.

Welcome to Thank you Anxiety. Do you want to know how to Overcome Anxiety for good?

24/10/2022

The reason I will be sharing posts and information about ADHD is because its become apparent that more and more Woman are realising as they get older and they become more aware of themselves and how their bodies are feeling especially after such events as having children,Perimenopause ect.
Lots of us get Diagnosed with Anxiety and the many Co Morbiditities that come with it such as ,Panic,Agrophobia, Derealisation and Depersonalisation,OCD,Eating Disorders,Health Anxiety ect.

I was told for many years that I had General Anxiety and lots of other things but even when I Overcome all of my Anxiety Issues I still felt bored like my world still felt the same, all I ever wanted was to overcome my Anxiety, and my Push to succeed was the Visual picture I held in my thoughts of how wonderful life would be on the other side of fear and Anxiety.

When I did finally Overcome my Anxiety Issues it was great for a few weeks then life become same s**t different day again.
I was devastated I felt like all that work I did was for nothing. And actually missed that Protectivness of Anxiety by my side all day and night.

I couldn't understand why I was left feeling like this but the years went on and so did life but I was still left with a feeling of what can I do next.
A year ago after a conversation with someone who had reached out to me for help, they told me they had ADHD. Now this Condition was something I was aware of because when I used to be a Youth Worker we had Teenager who had it. I started to look into more so I could help this person.

As I hit Perimenopause I started to feel weird but just put it down the changes of Hormones happening in my body. So i accepted it and tried to carry on with work and family life but it was getting increasingly harder every day.

Fast forward 6 months ago I had enough I felt like like the old me had gone and was left with feeling Angry,Frustrated,Exhausted,
Aching all over and for the first time in years Overwhelmed with life in general.
My Self Esteem and Confidence was at an all time low again, and i even gave up on the Anxiety Coaching because the Imposter Syndrome had kicked in alongside my Self Esteem issues.

So the ever curious thinker I am I decided to start researching Perimenopause after a few months decided to go on HRT.
I have been on it 2 months and don't particularly feel any different yet, still early days.

Whist researching Perimenopause I also started to come across articles about women who are getting Diagnosed with ADHD later in life because they were misdiagnosed as having Anxiety or Depression when all the time is was ADHD.
Now the Subject had been mentioned to me a few Times over the years because of my Hyperactivity amongst other Traits.

When I get interested in a new subject, usually Medical or Mental Health its becomes just like a new Obsession and I will learn everything I can about it, in a very short space of time.

6 months ago I looked up ADHD Test's online that had been Reccomend to me from a Professional in the subject. I did the tests and
WOW BLEW MY MIND it was all me,I delved more and more into the subject, watched hours of reels on Instagram, read many Articles online and I even reached out and Spoke at length to other ADHD Coaches here and in America who are all also ADHD and they all said I definitely have it.

My mind never felt so clear for the first time in my life.
Finally all the missing pieces had all come together, it all made so much sence now.
After speaking more to my Parent's they told me that they took me to the Drs a few times for ADHD but was dismissed as I was just a very curious child. And as I got older I'll calm down. And my mother said she thought looking back now that one or both of her parents had it to aswell as other family members,ADHD is Hereditary you see. The reason i never feel satisfied or feel like I've accomplished anything is all down to the lack of Dopamine in my brain, that's the Hormone that gives us pleasure and so the brain is always seeking and searching for the next hit the next thing that will make us feel good but thats where risky behaviours can come intp play and I've done plenty of that in my younger years, early adulhood but now it's Exhausting.
So now for 6 monts I have been constantly down the ADHD rabbit hole researching everything I can about the Subject and I've become so aware that especially Girls and Women that it's not been picked until later on life. The reason why mine has become more Apparent now is because of the Perimenopause the fluctuation in Hormones can aggravate the ADHD and suddenly you can become more aware if it.
Now my eyes are finally opened I can now look back and see just how many people and especially women I know who I can say are probably ADHD aswell because they are all just like me and had been told they have Anxiety/Depression but are still not any better, still taking pills for years. Some have come to me for help and can see it in them so much especially as some I know personally and it's not right that we have been left to suffer for years, not succeeding in school or life. We are so much more.

I am saving to get a private Diagnosis next year because I don't really have allot of faith in the NHS especially when it comes to Mental Health.

I am now raising Awareness of Women with ADHD because so many have been miss Diagnosed with other Mental Health conditions when they should have been asked and checked for ADHD also because Anxiety,Depression,OCD,Binge Eating,Eating Disorders,Low Self Esteem,Low Confidence,Imposter Syndrome Traumatic events in life are all very common traits that can accur alongside ADHD.

So many girls and especially women get overlooked with having ADHD. Allot of women don't get Diagnosed until later in their lives because when Perimenopause kicks in it can really effect the sudden Hormonal changes, so because of that time women are starting to be more aware of themselves and how they are feeling, that the ADHD SYPTOMS become more Apparent.
So many Women can get misdiagnosed as being Depressed or Anxious but they can be part of ADHD.
For years I was told I had Generalised Anxiety, Panic,Health Anxiety,Pure O,Agrophobia,Derealisation and Depersonalisation but all along it was ADHD. X

https://www.clinical-partners.co.uk/insights-and-news/adult-adhd-aspergers/item/adhd-in-women-why-is-it-so-undiagnosed?category_id=36

My Undiagnosed ADHD didn't show itself propperly until I reached Perimenopause, suddenly everything made so much sence as to why I have Struggled with certain aspects in my life from Childhood to Adulthood.
The way I do things and the way i think and feel ADHD is so Obvious now. And Anxiety Depression, OCD, Eating Disorders ect are also very Common alongside ADHD but doesn't mean everyone will experience them. But this is where the problems lie and especially with many women who are getting miss diagnosed with Anxiety or Depression, when instead it's possibly ADHD.
Think about it, if you are still experiencing feeling the same way for many many years and not getting any better maybe thats the tell tale sighns it could be something else.

When I eventually overcome all of my Anxiety issues within those short 4 weeks and was on a plane to Australia i felt so alive and was buzzing with excitement,I loved my Anxiety Recovery Journey and facing fears, stepping out of my confort zone because now I realise I was getting the Dopamine fix I lack in and crave daily. People who have ADHD lack in the brain Chemical Depomine.

When I got home from Australia and the jet lag went away and life was back to "normal" I very quickly realised that I was sooo bored with my but just put it down to the Holiday Blues .
I thought Overcoming Anxiety would be like living in a world freedom and excitement again, but wow, that so wasn't the case for me, life was back to feeling like ground hog day and I was actually missing that buzz of putting myself in situations that I was once scared of because of feeling Anxious.
I couldn't understand why i was feeling this way.

In all of my Anxious years all I ever wanted was to feel normal again Anxiety Free so why was I feeling so Unmotivated and Bored? It was because i didn't have anything big to focus on anymore and Overcome. All of the Anxious Sensations and Thoughts had gone away and I was left feeling empty and numb.It was hard to feel that way when I had always had the constant distraction of feeling Anxious.

That was 7 years ago and life carried on, but I've always felt and craved for more, surely this can't be it until I retire there has to be something more to life than work, bed, work.

3 years ago I hit Perimenopause and it was gradual for the first 2 years but last year that's when it hit me hard and suddenly I didn't feel right and the ADHD Syptoms suddenly became more Apparent but again thought its just the Perimenopause Syptoms.
It wasn't until someone reached out to me to help with her Anxiety and she told me that she had ADHD also that I decided to start researching about it so I could get a better understanding of it so i could help her.
Once i started i really went down that rabbit hole of research getting really Obsessed on the subject as i did with learning how to Overcome Anxiety. I am so glad I did because it was the biggest revelation ever, suddenly everything i was reading or videos i was watching I resonated from day 1. It was me all over.

I'm glad I did because all my craziness and quirks and why I was missing the Anxious buzz all made sence now. I spoke to my Mum about it and she's like oh yes,I took you to the drs twice when you was very young and i was told you're just a very curious child, but after speaking to her more about my Traits and explanating that its actually Hereditary she started to think about the way her Mother and Father was and we could see its definitely in the family possibly on both sides but I think definitely on my nans side and even Autism. But of course they never knew. She had been Diagnosed with Clinical Depression over 20 years ago but now we are thinking again she could have possibly been Misdiagnosed. She is going to see about speaking to her Mental Health Dr about it.

I'm now looking into going Private for a Formal Diagnosis in Cardiff but it's very expensive so will be a while yet,I have to save up. I'm not interested in going down the medication route so the Diagnosis Process I'm hoping will be easier and faster.
I'm going to share more about Adult ADHD and especially with regards to Women.
ADHD has nothing to do with Intelligence.
There are tests online which is usually the first step you need to take. I can share links if you would like to try.

ADHD in women ADHD in women is often undiagnosed as symptoms are often different to the ‘standard’ symptoms associated with ADHD.

✨️I get asked allot what books or courses had I done prior to Overcoming my Anxiety. These are My Top 3 which I always Reccomend because they are all about how to use Acceptance, and by Understanding what your are feeling you can accept all of the Physical Sensations and Thoughts that you fear so much.

✅️As you can see I've ticked when I bought the books because i want you to know that it was litterly just 1 month later I was Fully Recovered after being Anxious for many years and was on plane to Australia. I have never had an Anxiety Issue since and even when I have been through some tough times, its been all good to this day because I'm not Fearful of the Emotion anymore.

✨️There are many videos from Dare on U Tube and probably on here. I'm very Grateful to Barry because it was him who asked me could he Publish my Recovery Story online. And from then on was when I started to get a huge amount of messages from people all over the world asking me what i did and can i please teach them. I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't come across about the subject Acceptance and Commiting myself to get over my Fears.
Funny because I had a fb memory pop up a few weeks ago and it was from dare so I went into the old group that is not active anymore, and looked up all my Posts from when I was highly anxious wow 😱 I could see just how bad I really was with Anxiety and Panic,I was asking questions on there about things that I had already read in the book but I was letting the fear get the better of me so much that i was constantly seeking reassurance, when I should have been reasuring myself.

✨️But I had that lightbulb moment and realised it was only me who could do the work and follow the advice from the books and from all the Neuroplasisity research i had also done on how our Body and Brain works.
I'm so glad I did because I'm still here doing what I love the most helping others ❤️

✨️ Michael Norman you can find on Instagram and he's very Enganging. And he also has a free 4 part mini course that I did which was really helpful and was the very last course i done the day i had my Lightbulb moment 👍.

✨️ Important Announcement✨️

Moving on with my future coaching,I have decided to make some changes and will be altering the whole Process. And eventually this group will be deleted.

To achieve becoming Anxiety Free, The Acceptance Method has to be strictly followed, just like any other Anxiety Course for it to work for you.
Daily effort has to be put in 100% every day, because repition is the key when your re training your brain (Muscle Memory)

✨️You really do have to want to help yourself ✨️

Dipping in and out of the course when you feel like it will not work and will only delay your recovery further.

Over the past 7 years I have given all of my time and effort for free, from the day i overcome my Anxiety.
Fast forward to 2022 and i decided that i was going to start my Coaching Buisness Professionaly so of course a Fee would then be applied.

Sadly it became apparent very quickly that people didn't want to pay for help and wanted everything for free, but that just shows how serious or not their commitment to recovery really is. They knew by getting all the help they wanted for free they wasn't going to loose out if they didn't put their all into the course.

Of course trying to start a Buisness from scratch can't work on fresh air. and Its so frustrating and saddening when i have gone above and beyond with some clients. Being online for them all day and night, loosing sleep, loosing quality family time and especially on the weekeneds being messaged day and night when it was the only time I had off work from my daytime jobs.

If I'm putting in all my time and effort as a coach to create content which can take days sometimes with certain subjects,I except engangment to show what improvements you are making on the course.
But,unfortunately regular updates on a daily or weekly basis are very slow or not at all. So that is why I have to make changes for the better.

✨️Changes✨️
I have decided to make
The Acceptance Method more Holistic and Practical for myself when it comes to my Work/Life Balance.

The course will be more suitable for those who are into
✅️Mindfulness
✅️Meditation
✅️ Are Open Minded and a Williness to change.
✅️Must be only Experiencing General Anxiety/Panic.

✅️Must live in the UK
✅️ Payment must be made upfront.

✨️️I will not be taking on Cleints who are
❌️ Following any other Anxiety Programme,Coaches or recieving Councelling/CBT (Following more than one course can cause confusion)
❌️ Have Depression
❌Taking Medications for Anxiety.
❌️️ Have PTSD
❌️Are Not living in the UK.

✨️The main part of Acceptance is letting yourself fully Allow and Accept those normal and natural Sensations without using the Habbits,Beliefs and Behaviours you have created out of Fearing what you are Physically feeling and Mentally Thinking.

The problem with taking medication off the Dr or even Herbal Treatments claiming to take Anxiety and Panic away, is your body will be in an unbalanced state and Sensations could be masked so you won't be able to really 'Feel' them fully and practice letting them be by not reacting to them, or being scared of them anymore.
Also if you are taking Medications, that means you are still scared of what you are feeling and thinking and using Meds as a crutch or a quick fix in hope they will take away the Anxiety for you. But,unfortunately they can't and won't because Anxiety is just an Emotion not a a Condition that needs medicating and ultimately if and when you do decide to be weaned off the meds the same old sensations will still be there.

✨️I will be keeping the private group open for the meantime whilst i edit the coursework, ready to start a new.

💜 Thankyou to everyone who has supported me from the early days. I am Grateful that you reached out and put your trust in me to help and guide you. I wish you lots of luck 💜

Hi my lovlies 👋.
I just wanted to say I'm sorry for being off grid and not as engaging as I usually am with my Anxiety Coaching.
But as some of you know this year I've had to to make a few Choices and take some Chances in order to be able to make more money to eventually Change my life for the better and be in the Career that I'm so passionate about full time working from home in a garden office.
This of course takes time and sacrifices.
I've changed jobs and the first one I go to means I have to get up at 3.45am it's not ideal,I don't like having to get up in the middle of night but it's something I have to do for now and that also involves me working every other weekend. Then I have another job in the afternoon. So because of that I have to take a nap in the day because otherwise I'm constantly tired and drained, then after the second Job I get home,do tea and in bed by 8pm.
I hope you can Empathise and Understand that my work-life balance at the moment isn't exactly ideal or practical. And because allot of you i help are from all over the world it means that the spare times in the early mornings or evenings and weekends where I could talk to you i don't have anymore.

Please dont think I'm not here for you,I still am and you can message me anytime, it just means you may have to wait a little longer for my reply.
I will still be adding content as and when I can and don't forget all of the reading materials you need are in the Private Group and some are on the Thankyou Anxiety Page.
🤞this won't be forever and I'll be back doing what I love the most real soon.❤️
Lots of love take care.🙏

I have so many people say to me that Anxiety ect is in the family its in the genes see so no wonder I have it to.
And my reply is always
❌️ no that's not true.

Lets say for eg you was brought up around very Anxious parents, siblings, friends or family, you could pick up on how they are acting Anxious simply by copying their Anxious Behaviours and Habbbits thinking that's normal because you haven't seen anything different but it's really not the case.

✅️ Please be aware of how Anxious you behave in front of your children and especially when they are young, they learn through their sarroundings but also by repition so just be mindful of that.
I have had allot of clients who had ended up Anxious as children and into teenage years and even into adult life simply because of being around and witnessing say for eg a very Anxious Mum daily,so in return they ended up the same. Nothing to do with the Genes but by choosing to act the same because they will copy and think that's normal, when of course it's not.
It can become a Vicious cycle very early on.
If you are experiencing Anxiety please feel free to contact myself to have an informal chat about how to get over your Anxiety. I'm here to help.
Also the post I'm sharing is from an amazing Anxiety Recovery Therapist who I came across in my Anxious Years and did his short 4 part online course which I found great. (Of course there is always work to be done) it's the only way to overcome feeling Anxious.
As I went on to become an Anxiety Coach myself what I teach now is very simular to Michael.
It's all backed up by real modern Scientific Reserach and how Acceptance can transform and change your life for good ❤️

Photos from Thank you Anxiety.'s post 06/06/2022

This is 100% true.
Anxiety all comes down to the Behaviours and Beliefs YOU have chosen to use.
YOU created the person you are today, simply because you didn't like what you physically felt from day 1. You are fearing fear that's it. Nothing bad is happening to you or trying to harm you. Feeling Anxiety is a normal bodily response when we stressed, upset, angry.
Even when we are excited our bodies physically feel the same way as if we we're Anxious.
If you choose to see Anxiety as the Enemy then you will always feel Anxious.

What you are fearing is just an Emotion that you can't ever get rid off just like all the other Emotions we have.Taking pills can't get rid an Emotion, you experience many Emotions but you don't fear them so ask yourself why not?🤔

Is the way you are living you're life making you feel less Anxious? Are you back living life to full Anxiety free? Of course not, and if you are still Anxious after 6 months then that's a true indication that what you are doing and how you are living you're life isn't helping you in any way and in fact will only be making it worse.

The only way you will ever feel Anxiety Free is when you Consciously choose to Change who you are and all the Habbits,Beliefs and Behaviours you choose to use on a daily basis. This is a new habbit that you have to use every single day all day.
You can't just say oh ill try today then when the time comes you can't be bothered or to scared,YOU have to really want to change because the old you is who got you to where you are now, full of feeling Anxious and its getting you no where.
So get up today and Choose to Change ❤️
We always have Choices nothing is making you act the way you do so what are you waiting for.? Start that new you today.👍
✅️Change you're thinking
✅️Change you're self talk
✅️Change you're Attitude
✅️Change you're Behaviours
✅️Change you're Beliefs
All of these can be changed and fast if you really do the work.
I had to change everything about my Anxious self every single day and re trained how I reacted to what I was feeling and thinking.
By doing so I re trained my brain also, and in just 1 week I had stopped fearing what I was physically feeling, and I did that by choosing to stop myself from using pointless negative self talk and let any negative fearful thoughts that would pop up all day stay, but instead I took no notice of them. I Accepted them Acknowledged they could stay but carried on focusing on whatever I was doing at that present moment.
You have to stay in that present moment and get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable for a very short time.
With constant practice it will get easier to the point that you're new Behaviours now become Automatic over riding the old Anxious ones you have used for so long.

FACT✅️ Our brain can only become re trained and make new Neural Pathways by constant Repition. Which is why i constantly say daily practive is the key,if you just try 1 day then do absolutely nothing for a few days or a week you're brain and your Subconcience wouldn't have stored that new part of information because it was just something you did once.
💯Remeber you would have started to act Anxious all day every day for you brain to have eventually stored that, that is normal for you to be acting in that manner.
So becoming a new you needs daily hard work all day every day.

Sadly people worldwide stay Experiencing feeling Anxious all because
A. They're Beliefs are so set in stone they now won't believe otherwise. And think that Anxiety is a "mental illness that they will have for life.(not true)
B. They are addicted to the medication that was given to them and promised it would take all the Anxiety away ( not true no medication Can and will ever take away Anxiety.
C. They just haven't got the motivation or can't be bothered to put the work in. So they continue to scroll the Internet join online forums buy products in the hope that they will eventually find that one golden thing that will take their Anxiety away overnight for good. (That won't happen)
Don't be one of those Statistics.

Have you got what it takes to become a better version of who you are now🤔.It's you're choice, choose wisely ❤️

Take no notice of the title it doesn't mean Acceptance does not work, the video means just by telling yourself to 'Accept' won't work because really all you are doing is waiting to see if the sensations has stopped that's not truly Accepting.
He will explain why Accepting is the only way and how xx

BE MINDFUL OF YOUR SELF TALK.
Be very careful with your
self talk." Remember the Amygdala is the emotional part of the brain where the emotion Anxiety lives.
The Amygdalas is your protector, its job is to constantly scan for danger for you,yes it was very useful back in caveman days where danger was around all the time but not needed as intense now but still needed to keep us safe.
It's adaptable to our surroundings and where we live in the world. People who live in war-torn countries will be on high alert 24/7, and so the Amygdala is really needed.

We communicate to the Amygdala through all of our sensory organs so our eyes, ears skin, nose, mouth. They are all signals that are being sent constantly to our emotional brain and it stores that signal as truth from the very first time, so that's where fears can arise like dentists doctors hospitals fairground rides people places foods ect.

If you reacted with disgust or fear at any one time say at the dentist then that thought is stored and the next time your at the dentist you may suddenly feel fear again, because understand the Amygdala has recognised from your sences your eyes, smell, ect that you felt fear here and it then thinks your in imminent danger,so it will send signals to your Adrenal glands to release Adrenaline to help have the extra stregnth and speed you would need to help you escape but you dont need to escape because your not in danger, but it doesnt know that it's just going by what you told it last time. So your left feeling anxious and pumped because of the adrenaline.
If you tell your brain by reacting differently by staying calm and as neutral as you can, before you even get to the dentist, when you do get there you are sending it different signals false if needs be but say to yourself your excited i love this place, read a nice magazine not a newspaper with all fear and scare mongering.
Once you replace the Anxious thought with a happier one next tim, you'rer at the dentist it wont send a false signal again to release Adrenaline because it won't think you're in danger.

You can do this with every aspect of your life. You have to feed your brain good stuff so it can release the bad stuff.

HOW TO SLEEP BETTER.
I have many people ask for advice about sleep..

Lots of Stressed and Anxious people will Obsess and Worry constantly about how many hours of sleep they are getting or not, and even clock watch.

Its actually doing so is what's causing you to not sleep, just like accepting thoughts and sensations you have to accept the exact same way about sleep..

A strict nightime routine is a must and that means sticking to the same time going to bed every night no matter what, and that includes the weekends but also getting up the same time every morning..

Anxiety Recovery is always about constant repition by reversing the negative habbits you have gotton yourself into..
So for now, until your sleep is better, your whole day and night has to be structured..

No good lying in bed all day feeling sorry for yourself because you didn't get any sleep again.. It's just wasted time and energy..

💤Every night, start off by setting a nice soothing atmosphere, so by lighting a nice scented candle, if you like candles or some aromatherapy oils in an air purifyer, I loved mine. lavender is a good one, or you can put some essence on your pillow or bedding. It's a great aid for sleep or even some insence, whatever you like, or a nice mood light even.

⚠️ Stay off social media and watching or reading anything to do with Anxiety because your only fuelling it more and that's one of my daily don't do rules.👍

💤Have a nice warm bath or shower.

💤When your in bed read a nice book or magazine, you can watch tv but nothing to stimulating like action films and definitely stay away from the news and thats especially more important for Anxious people because it's full of Negatives and scare mongering and that also includes reading Newspapers.

💤 Listen to nice calming music through headphones or if you like a guided meditation that's even better.I love Meditation and Mindfulness and still do it today.

💤Main thing is you have to get comfortable with being totally ok that if you sleep, great if you don't, so what! It's not gonna kill me; the more you concentrate and obsess over how many hours you're sleeping or not, the more Cortisol (stress hormone)will be released, resulting in no sleep again..

It all comes back to your thoughts and habits.

💤If you can fall asleep but then wake up only after a short time, it causes you to get really frustrated, and you'll start worrying more about why you're not getting enough sleep.. this is the vicious cycle you will get into because the more the Stress the more Cortisol you will cause to release.

💤Don't stay in bed just lying there staring at the ceiling, especially if you don't have a tv to put on,or you don't like reading.
Get up out of bed and go and make yourself a warm, hot drink like hot milk or an herbal tea. No Coffee or Tea unless its decaffeinated.. stop drinking caffinated drinks all together and especially energy drinks they are so damaging for you're mental and physical health.

💤 Do something else to focus on,so if you have a hobby indoors do that, crosswords, word sesearches anything to take your focus off the frustration you will be feeling..

💤Try to stay off your phone if your addicted to social media because it's to stimulating and you will only go back to looking at stupid anxiety forums, dr googling or watching more videos or reading negative posts about Anxiety leading to you feeling more anxious.. of course it's fine to read any of my posts.

⚠️Remember that this strict routine is like all the advice I give; it's about changing your reactions and behaviours, and this applies to sleep issues as well. The more you focus, obsess, and worry about sleep, the less you will have..

✅You have to truly accept that for the moment not having enough sleep is just how it is, think that in the future when your cortisol starts to lower your sleep pattern will return..
I don't Reccomend sleeping tablets because again all you are doing is getting yourself into another unhelpful habbit which will cause more problems and may result in addiction in the long run which of course you dont want, you have to learn how to sleep naturally..

Even recovered, I still stick to a regular bedtime routine because sleep issues can happen to anyone at any time. I hope this helps # # #
