Why am I up early on my day off?π₯±π₯±
The reason is because I was dreaming about being on a boat in portifino, Italy. Not sure why there, although I would love to go to Italy I've never been ππ€£
Why couldn't I have been on a proper cruise ship rather than a boat with water in it and my bag was getting wet. π€£
Anyway the dream woke me up, so had to go on Google to check the dream out and the results are in.
I need to leave the island, go on an adventure to explore and all with a new love. Not sure what hubby thinks about that I've messaged him with itπ€£π€£π€£.
Think whoever I was with would probably send me back with my lack of brainpower and money. All I've got to offer is a big mouth and a scatty brain π€£π€£π€£

Just to let anybody know thats tried to book an appointment online. There's a problem with the booking system at the moment. They are trying to fix it.
Apparently it's something to do with the Nearcut hosting provider engine yard and not an internal issue.
Hopefully it's only a minor disruption and everything back on line soon.
I'll keep you updated when I know more.

Who would have thought Christmas day was only 2 weeks ago π. Anyway back to work modeπ.
Gemma is in tomorrow morning on her own from 9.30am till 2.30pm. I have an external appointment to attend so won't be in until about 1. Emily is in on the afternoon from 1pm till 7pm and I'll be in on the afternoon till 7pm

Anybody know of any chiropractors locally that does the acupuncture as well.
I've looked on the internet and Cannock chiropractors charge Β£35 for 20 minutes.
Another one charges Β£40 for 20 minutes in Aldridge. The one I was going to doesn't have availability on the days I need.
So I don't know where to go, I need something though for my back
We've just hit 400 5* reviews on Nearcut. It's such a nice feeling to know that 400 people like the service we provide. Yes I have 2 x 1* stars which I'm not afraid to show as you have to take the good with the bad, but one of them was a mistake from 2 years ago which was rectified later on and the other one was a toddler who didn't sit still and the mother said he was golden and I done a bad cut. You can't win them allπ.

So thank you to everybody for contributing to keeping my small business going.
Last year was difficult from a work perspective as I explained before about almost closing, but everyone including my husband and the amazing girls I work with has contributed towards me persevering with it
It's not easy running a small business. In fact it can get quite stressful, especially being severely Dyslexic and having personal stuff going on as well, but I'm not a quitter. Sometimes, like everybody else, I don't feel like going to work, but I really do love my job and having the continued support makes it so much better.
I'm going to try and give the business a push this year. It's still not 100% where I need it to be and unfortunately a price increase will have to come, but with wages rising like it is and other costs going up etc, then it means I need to go with it in order to continue to keep providing a service to our local community.
But for now I just want to wish you all a Happy New Year and hope it brings you a Healthy and happy one.

Hope you all had a fab Christmas and are still eating and drinking lots.
I've just been for a chiropractor session on my back and had to go all the way to Sutton.
Apparently Barbering and being on my feet all day doesn't help, I might need to put the prices up to Β£100 a haircut so I can reduce my hours π€£π€£
Apparently my pelvis is twisted as well as bulging discs and I need 6 to 8 sessions at Β£55 each for it to work π
Myself and Gemma are back in on Saturday. I am fully booked, but Gemma has some availability, then it's back to normal on Tuesday 2nd January.

Well I've just got in from work and I'm now done until Saturday 30th December, where myself and Gemma are in.
I just want to say a massive, massive thank you to all our clients for your continued support and loyalty. Without you all I wouldn't even be here on my 4th Christmas which i still can't quite believe I'm still here for almost 4 years in January.
I also want to say a massive thank you to the staff for working hard, being fantastic with the clients and for sticking with me. I know I'm bonkers at times, but I do try to be normal π€£π€£
I also want to say welcome to our team Alex. She's only been with us a few weeks but has settled in well and even though she's self employed, she has still become an improvement part of our team and we are lucky to have her. She's not bad for a Saturday girl who fetches our pork baps and makes our drinks π€£π€£

There's been lots of highs and lows, and yes I was going to close my business this year. I had told the landlord, told the staff and even had the estate agents booked in, but obviously had a change of heart then done the shop up instead .
It's definitely not easy having a shop and regardless what some people think I don't earn a lot of money. My business has to cover my home and work bills, I have to pay staff even when they are on leave. I never intended to have staff in the first place, but now I have got staff I am so bloody lucky to have the girls I do.
Gemma has been with me almost a year in January and Emily has been with me 2 years in February. It's not easy to find the right staff and I feel very grateful to have the best girls working alongside me. I have the best Facebook followers, the best clients ever and of course the best husband who, (without him) I wouldn't have been in the position I am in to have had the shop refurbished
This morning it even looks like somebody (possibly foreign) wants to buy my business off me, that's the way I read it anyway . I'm not going anywhere unless they offer me Β£500''000 and keep the staffπ€£π€£.
Anyway thats enough of my gobby queen speech π€£π€£, time for a chill now with some food and drink.
Just before I go I just want to say thank you all so much for all our tips, wine and chocolates. l always feel humbled and appreciate the kindness people have shown us.
I have bought myself a Nintendo switch out of mine this year, I like to spend mine on myself as I don't have a lot all year round.π€£

Well busy week almost finished. Unfortunately I've still got one more shift to do tomorrow.
Some people think I'm mad working Christmas Eve, but due to us being busy this week I needed to get all my clients in.
If it wasn't for my clients loyalty I wouldn't even have a business, so it's only fair to put myself out for the most amazing clients.
It's called customer service and whilst on that subject my wall plaque has come which is sitting nicely on my mirror alongside my 2022 plaque

Well we've had a nice busy week so far and I've still got 3 days to do.
We've had an influx of new clients over the last couple of weeks which is surprising really, but in a nice way especially being the newest barbers in the area .
I also want to say a massive thank you to everyone for turning up . it's hard this time of the year especially if people don't turn up without cancelling but fortunately (touch wood) I've not had any no shows yet.
I say this a lot but I really do have the best clients and have such good relationships with them all and that's probably why everyone turns up.
I will have had my shop 4 years in January and I'm still shocked and surprised in still here, but without my clients and amazing staff I wouldn't be here.
