U13s played Sutton Royal Lightning this morning. 1Q started quite evenly I donβt believe either team scored in the first few minutes, we gradually got more into the game and settled down forcing a number of turnovers and capitalising on most. 6-3.
2Q Our defence dominated not conceding, our mid court players did their jobs with some good movement and making the correct passes at times and our shooters finished. 5-0. 3rd Q was a slow burner with both teams cancelling each other out, 4-2. 4Q we were set a goal target of 8 which we delivered but it could have easily been more. 8-1. Result was there today, we know where we need to improve and develop our games to reach the next level. Well done all players. PPOM Alanagh Evans. Also a shout out to Isla Tindall who played her first game, looked very comfortable considering was first game. Well done. ππ. Final score 23-6
U12s played Libra Lea this evening in the summer league, where the girls are having a good run of form.
We started brightly with our shooters making light work of the Libra defence. Once again all players listening to their instructions and working hard for each other.
The first quarter finished 7-1 to yendys; that was the only goal we allowed Libra to score.
We still at times fall into bunching up and playing our opponents game but we settled and dominated. After going up 17-1 in the 2nd, the coaches switched some players around in the 3rd which saw Alanna go into centre, her face a picture π
Final score 31-1, a fantastic team performance with confident scoring, fast mid-court play and the usual strong defence.
Well done girls. Special mention to Ava F, who played really well in WD and is progressing each week. PPOM to Lottie π
Yendys U16 squad in action tonight playing Blue Storm. A steady start from the both teams with end to end play and 3 goals a piece within the first few minutes of the game. Yendys quickly found their flow and movement across the court, resulting in effective play, converting turn overs into goals. Coaching team tried players in different positions and combinations. The girls had to work hard to read the game and each other to ensure they remained in control of the match. Yendys took the lead in the first quarter and maintained this throughout the match. Final score 29-14 win πͺπ»πͺπ»PPOM Millie Thomason. Well played everyone! ππ

Yendys Senior Regional team were back in action today on the last game of the season .
A fabulous game from start to finish, that had the bench and supporters on the edge of their seats .Linden are a strong side but Yendys had the mentality to win and were determined to enjoy their last game . From the first whistle they found their flow turning over the first centre pass and went ahead they forced errors and held on to the lead moving the ball really well , linden then moved up a gear going on a 5 goal run at the end of the first quarter :Q1 score 9-6 to Linden , the second quarter , Yendys showed confidence and continued to battle , we defended well and had some great passages of play through the whole court , the play was evenly matched between the two sides , linden just had the edge and took the second quarter , half time score 22-15 . Half time reset and a few position changes ,Yendys came out fighting and they dominated the third quarter , they turned over the ball and converted to goal going on a 6 goal run and getting within 2 goals of Linden , they had the belief , they stayed tight to their players , pressed hard in defence , forcing errors , there passing was on point and the shooting was awesome and they took the third quarter Q3 score , 31-26 just two turnovers away from a win - we started the last quarter as we finished the third with , pace , precision and fabulous determination , the play went goal for goal with both sides wanting that win , some decisions didnβt go our way and the final quarter resulted in a draw . Yendys held their own today they played their socks off , and every player on court give it their all , well played ladies , super proud of you all this season Final score 40-35 to Linden POM Our super WA Lucy Toor ππβ€οΈ

A closely contested match with the lead changing between both teams through the first 2 quarters. Teams were level at half time. The girls worked hard to maintain possession and their efforts paid off going into the final quarter a goal ahead. The squad found their flow and manage to secure the win by a goal.
