A distribution board upgrade complete at the end of last week in Highams Park.
Old non RCD distribution board removed and new fully RCD and Surge Protected distribution board fitted.
New earth bonding conductors also installed to incoming gas and water supplies as required by regulation.
Full inspection and test carried out and test certificate issued.
Unfortunate and unnecessary job done this week in chingford.
Extractor fan expired in the family bathroom.
The in-line extractor was fitted above the ceiling in a flat roofed extension, i.e not accessible.
Ceiling cut open to remove extractor fan and access the wiring. Excess flexible ducting removed and ducting extended correctly with new hole made for new surface mounted fan.
Ceiling repaired and 2 coats of white paint.
Ceiling now looks like new.
Non matching and non bathroom rated downlighters removed, connections re done in suitable enclosures and not insulation tape, new fire rated and bathroom rated matching lights installed.
New fan installed.
Fan accessible and working, smart new lighting, customer very happy 😎
A recently completed project for a very good customer in chingford.
Remove all existing leaking/poorly installed guttering.
Prepare and paint all soffits/fascia’s, windows and external doors.
Replace guttering.
Remove front path that had poor foundations.
Lay suitable foundations and new paving.
A lot of work but the property now looks like new 😎
Latest project completed in Loughton.
Removal of a large window in a conservatory. Customer wanted more warmth and wall space, the window only faces the side of the next property.
Window removed, studwork built on window support wall (wall footings not suitable for weight of more bricks). UPVC cladding on outside, this can be easily removed at a later date for house re-rendering. Fully insulated, vapour barrier and dry lined on the inside. New skirting patched in to replace damaged section and then all painted and decorated.
Customer very happy with the outcome 😎
Completion of a refurbishment/refresh of a rental property that is going to be sold by the owner.
General repairs to internal walls, bathroom, kitchen, UPVC doors.
Full redecorate of all walls, ceilings and skirtings including removal of marker pen/crayon/pencil marks, mould staining and cooking/food stains.
Replacement of rear porch canopy.
Deep clean of bathroom including mould removal and clean up of tile grout.
Replacement of consumer unit and full inspection, test and certification.
Full clean of entire property including windows and UPVC doors and frames.

Phase 2 completed on our recent garage project.
The garage has been installed on the foundation that we prepared so now for the electrical installation.
New distribution board with Surge Protection and all circuits individually protected by RCBO.
Circuits for electric roller door, sockets, LED lights and a 16A socket for plugging in the customers new camper van.

Small Utility room project completed this week in Chingford. Working again with ProHeat Services.
Room was already in good condition and prepared/painted by customer so only modifications to electricals and plumbing, installation of units, worktops, tiling and new skirting.
First joint project of the year completed with our friends at ProHeat Services.
New kitchen install at a property that we fully redecorated exactly 1 year ago in Chingford.
All processes carried out by us to ensure a smooth running project and a happy customer.

Last job of 2022 completed.
Upgrade and reposition of a Distribution Board in Sawbridgeworth.
New Distribution Board fitted with Surge Protection and individual RCD protection for all outgoing circuits, thus minimising inconvenience in the event of a fault.
New recessed lighting was also fitted to all first floor rooms.
All work was inspected tested and an electrical installation certificate issued.
A nice job to end the year 😎
Week 5 and completion of our ongoing toilet/washroom project at a local commercial premises.
Electrical installation done, comprising of fully automated lighting with integrated emergency lighting and air extraction, heating system controlled by a tamper proof thermostat, extractor fans, hand dryer and water heater.
Internal doors varnished, hung and locks fitted, door closer fitted to external door to retain heat.
All relevant toilet/washroom fixtures and fittings installed.
Building painted externally to customers requirement.
Fully commissioned and handed over to a very happy customer, a fantastic little project 😎
Weeks 3 and 4 of our ongoing external toilet/washroom project at a local Commercial property.
Internal walls and store cupboard built and yacht varnished.
Waste pipes installed ready for connection to sewer by another contractor.
Water supply pipe installed into previously installed steel trunking and insulated, existing water supply modified to include suitable isolation to the whole property and the toilet block. Electric supply cable also installed in trunking.
Internal wallboards installed to areas subjected to constant water splashes.
All internal pipe work installed with water heater, wash basins and toilets fitted. Water system commissioned for use.
External step installed for improved access.
Ready for the final push next week to carry out electrical installation, final commissioning and handover to customer 😎
First 2 weeks of a new project, the conversion of a wooden outbuilding into a toilet and washroom at a local commercial property.
Plywood flooring laid over existing tongue and groove flooring.
Building fully insulated and lined with vapour barrier. Walls/ceiling boarded and 2 coats of yacht varnish applied.
Industrial flooring laid that is suitable for use in this type of environment.
45m of galvanised steel trunking installed on the exterior of neighbouring building to house water and electrical supplies to the new building.
A busy couple of weeks 😎
Completion of a local bungalow refurbishment project.
Additional sockets and TV points.
Ethernet outlets for smart TV’s and home office equipment.
Out of date smoke detectors replaced.
Unsuitable garden wiring removed and garage and new garden lighting circuits added.
Disconnected gas fire and surround removed.
Thermostatic valves fitted to all radiators.
Full redecoration of living/dining room, 2 bedrooms, office and hallway.
Kitchen and bathrooms to be refurbished at a later date.
Just new carpet and a phone line connection needed for the customer to move in, a nice project with a great outcome 😎
Week 3 of our ongoing refurbishment project.
Radiators removed, walls fine filled where necessary to remove any imperfections, two coats of hard wearing matt emulsion on the walls and all skirting/architrave/window boards keyed ready for painting.
Also cleared garage of rubbish left by the previous occupiers.
Another busy week comes to an end.
A rewire of central heating controls.
We were called out to a malfunctioning time switch but when installing a replacement realised the system was operating incorrectly and not to the boiler manufacturers requirement, manufacturers can void warranties if new boilers are incorrectly wired as this one was.
After some cable identification testing the system was completely rewired using existing cables with a like for like replacement time switch, replacement of faulty hot water cylinder thermostat and a new wiring centre.
After being installed approximately 15 years ago the central heating system is now working as it should be.
Week 2 of refurbishment project.
All new Ethernet and electrical wiring second fixed and tested. Circuit tracing and removal of some very unsuitable DIY external lighting, shed and fishpond wiring.
New wiring installed for some existing external patio lighting.
New distribution board installed in garage ready for final connection later.
Sealed previously unpainted Artex ceilings in living/dining room, 2 bedrooms, office and hallway. Finished off with a further 2 coats of white emulsion.
A busy week and all ready for painting the walls next week 😎
First week on a new refurbishment project.
Previously disconnected gas fire and surround removed.
Ethernet, telephone and electrical cables first fixed in living room, office and both bedrooms.
All wall damage coarse and fine filled, sanded and overpainted white to check for defects.
