Tomorrow sees us host familiar faces in our second friendly of preseason!
Another chance to get some minutes in the tank and try out a few new pieces! Looking forward to see the trialists in action too!
12PM K/O
🔵⚪️⚽️
A good test of fitness today for the lads in our first game back against a lively !
Both teams had some decent chances, and we go away with a few things to focus on as the season draws closer!
First bit of action this season as we head down to Mabley Green to face new addition !
With a good portion of retained players, some new additions and a few trialists, tomorrow should be a good runout and important minutes in the tank before the season arrives!
Looking for a new team for the season?
Chingford Harriers are still open to adding a few more quality additions to the team for the new season - all positions considered, but in particular a man between the sticks, and a man to put the ball in the net!
Drop us a message to get involved 🔵⚪️⚽️
An embarrassing one to post, but it’s important to note your successes AND downfalls!
Credit to who were energetic from the very first whistle - their position in the table definitely doesn’t show the class they possess in their squad 👌🏼
The lads need to evaluate their individual performances for last one game in 2022 next week!
KICK-OFF!
An away day visit to longtime rivals
With a big result for the Dales last weekend, Chingford will have to be at their best!
20 mins until kick-off!!
The return game vs - the home game ended 2-1 to us in a tight game, we will be hoping to walk away with 3 points again this time!
Saturday’s Man of the Match award vs goes to……
JOE!
With our normal keeper pulling out through injury 5mins before kick off, Joe stepped up to go between the sticks.
He didn’t have too much to do in the game, but when he did, he dealt with it as if he’d be in goal his whole life, even pulling out a spectacular diving save for the camera!
This isn’t the first time Joe has helped the team, and it probably wont be the last, but the lads appreciate that he does!
Congrats 🔵⚪️⚽️
Saturday saw us host in what was a very spirited game!
Riverside started off strong, testing the defence with balls over the top, however they stood firm in repelling the attempts!
10 mins before the break, Edwin knocked a lovely ball through to Andrew who found the back of the net and gave us the lead into the break.
Second half, we upped the levels, and with Darlington & Darnell slotting home, the game was done, with many chances wasted too!
Credit to FC Riverside - a young team with a lot of heart, they will do well as the season continues!
MATCHDAY!
We host as we look to add another 3 points to our tally!
The visitors however recently got their first win of the season, so is it an upturn in their fortunes?
Saturday’s Man of the Match award vs goes to……
DAN & PETER!
Dan has been one of our more consistent players this season, providing solid defensive cover with some strong challenges and looking to get the attack started from the back!
Peter was used in the CB position which which may not feel natural for him, but he gave a solid display, with ball after ball won through a header or a well-times tackle!
Congrats 🔵⚪️⚽️
Tomorrow sees us head to Romford to take on
With both teams pushing for promotion this season, it should be a cracking game between last season’s Div 4 cup finalists!

Saturday’s Man of the Match award vs goes to……
CHRES & SEUN!
Chres will openly admit he’s not had the easiest of starts to the season, but on the weekend he bullied the opposition and was unlucky to leave the pitch with only one goal to his name - definitely the first of many for him!
Seun has been a bit of a Milner for us so far, and Saturday saw him start off defensively, push up the wing and end back up in defence 😂 with some tough tackles & flowing passes, Seun too could have ended up on the scoresheet!
Congrats 🔵⚪️⚽️
A frustrating game on Saturday sees us share the points with reserves!
Having been dominant for the majority of the game, we found ourselves 1-0 down from a lapse of concentration, which could have been 2 if Lewis didn’t pull off a great penalty save.
We upped our levels and found ourselves 2-1 up, through Paul & Chres, with others missing out on chances to put the game to bed.
Dagenham snuck a second goal, and then looked as if they would nick all 3 points.
Just under 12 hours until an early kick-off against regular rivals reserves!
With mixed results so far for the away team, it leaves CHFC wondering what they will be up against!
Saturday’s Man of the Match award vs goes to……
JOE!
With our main/only keeper out, Joe volunteered to go between the sticks, but told us not to expect any miracles…
I think the opposition will agree that we don’t know how he kept out so many attempts and that this was a clear MOTM decision - it was either him or the crossbar! 😂
Great to see our team members volunteering to help the team out!
Congrats 🔵⚪️⚽️
Saturday we hosted Division 3 leaders !
From the beginning, Newbury had the better of possession however we found ourselves 1-0 up after 25mins, a lovely ball by Kailem rolled across the box@for Darnell to tap home. We went into the break, wondering how Joe & the crossbar had kept out Newbury’s attempts!
We came out stronger in the second half but were ultimately undone from a defensive mistake and a controversial offside goal
Credit to Newbury, because despite the way the goals actually came, they probably should have been ahead in other ways!
BIG GAME tomorrow sees us host the league leaders !
Both teams are unbeaten so far, but with 2 games in hand on Newbury, this could be the biggest statement yet this season!
Both teams know what is at stake, it’s sure to be a tight and cagey one!
Saturday’s Man of the Match award vs Reserves goes to……
EDWIN!
One of the newer lads in the squad, Edwin puts himself about in training & on the pitch.
Although it wasn’t the greatest game for us, he never stopped wanting the ball or putting his body on the line, leading the defence with a strong combative defiance!
Congrats 🔵⚪️⚽️
Yesterday we hosted Division 2 .fc reserves in the Fenton Trophy.
Being a division below and missing about 4/5 key players, we always knew it was going to be a tough game!
The boys started off well going 2-0 up in 15mins, but silly errors let Woodford back in the game! 2nd half, they came out stronger and it showed - the boys struggled to match the intensity and found themselves 4-2 down.
It was a tight last 5/10mins for Woodford as we had a goal disallowed (wrongfully….) and then hit the post in the last minute!
Good luck to Woodford for the next round, and our boys regroup for a big ‘top 2’ clash this weekend!
Back in action tomorrow sees us host Division 2 side .fc reserves in the Fenton Trophy!
With our boys flying in the league & Woodford having mixed results, it could be a cracker!
Oh, and we can’t wait for former player Will to face up against us….
Saturday’s Man of the Match award vs Jolof Sports Reserves goes to……
LEWIS!
The man between the sticks, this isn’t the first time Lewis has made some important saves in a game, but he finally gets his recognition that he definitely deserves!
What’s more impressive is the levels of his performances, despite only finding him 3 days before the start of the season!
Congrats 🔵⚪️⚽️
Yesterday we hosted Jolof Sports Reserves, a team who had started the league well with 2 wins & 1 defeat!
As usual, the lads struggled to get going in the first half, allowing Jolof to have the greater of possession and chances. This was confirmed when Jolof took the lease just before half time from an unfortunate own goal from Dan T.
Second half we were a completely different team and within 5 minutes, Andrew had equalised for us with an unreal free kick from the left side of the area into the top right corner!
The boys kept pushing for a winner, and up popped Andrew again - this time, playing a lovely through ball for Grant to calm place the ball into the top corner!
Almost a late scare from Jolof, but the boys dig deep to hold out for the win and the 3 points 👌🏼
Tomorrow sees us host new boys , a team that have started well but had a shock thumping against the current league leaders.
With both teams showing that they know how to score goals already, it’s sure to be a tight game!
Saturday’s Man of the Match award vs Romford u21s goes to……
SEUN!
Controlling the middle of the pitch with composure and determination, he even provided playmaker for our first 2 goals!
Just another example of a new addition earning the respect of his teammates!
Congrats 🔵⚪️⚽️
Yesterday saw us visit the youthful Romford u21s!
We started very slowly and they took of this from a quickly-whipped free kick, combined with a lack of defensive organisation.
The boys instantly raised the intensity and goals from Andrew & Grant saw us go into the break 2-1 up!
We came out strong again and a forced own, then a response from Romford, along with a goal from Cedric & another own goal saw us walk away with 3 points & a 5-2 win!
Saturday sees us pay a visit to the young guns of the division - Romford u21s!
Not much is known about them, but with a spirited effort against the current league leaders, we are expecting a tough game!
Saturday’s Man of the Match award vs Melbourne Sports goes to……
KAILEM!
He spent the game terrorising the opposition defence with silky skills & plenty of key passes to set us on the attack, even setting up the second goal with a lovely lofted ball over the top.
He may be a new addition but he’s quickly settling into the team as if he’s been here for years!
Congrats 🔵⚪️⚽️
Yesterday we hosted Melbourne Sports, debuting our brand new home kit with a snazzy new sponsor!
First half was poor from the lads, we just couldn’t seem to string two passes together - Half time came and the boys were rightly frustrated at their performances so far!
Second half was anything but disappointing, with the lads upping the gears to knock in 4 goals and plenty more chances being created!
