BOO!👻 Read on for our local ghost stories. Happy Halloween!🎃 ☎️ The village of Tyneham - Tyneham really is a ghost village. It was abandoned in 1943, during WW2, for the soldiers to train. The residents had 28 days to leave😔Today the abandoned village is open for tourists to visit. 🏰 Corfe Castle - A headless woman in white has been stalking the walls in the castle ruins since 1645. She has been known to approach petrified visitors, only to turn away and disappear! BOO!👻 🧸 The Bear Hotel - An 18th Century Inn, is said by some to have a ghost, which they call Geoffrey!😂 🥁 Phantom Army - In 1678 a ghostly phantom army is said to have marched towards Wareham from the old iron age hill fort of Flowers Barrow. I wonder if anyone has seen that again since? 💭🤔 🏰 Lulworth Castle - The ghost of The Grey Lady has been haunting the castle for centuries😱

‘Studland Bay’ part of a four mile stretch of unspoilt, golden sandy beach featured on BBC Springwatch last night. Only 10 miles from us.🏖☀️😎
The sky cleared and we took a beautiful walk today to Worbarrow Bay, east of Lulworth Cove.☀️ An easy 20 minute walk from the abandoned village of Tyneham, 7 miles from us. The village was given a month to evacuate in 1943 during World War 2. Most definitely recommend a visit to the village and walk to the bay!!
TE Lawrence’s Time in Dorset began in 1923. Also known as ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, made famous by the film. He was a soldier, writer and historian who had ties to Wareham. Fish are very happy to have had their annual spring clean in their pond. The pond was emptied out, scrubbed and refilled by the pair of us, Rich and Steph, and now looks perfect!💙🐟🐠😃
