Hide those ugly boilers/ pipes with a custom made cabinet. Still allows good access for maintenance. To be finished by customer on this occasion.

Before and after from my latest job. A solid panel to the left and single gate from the right. Matching to form a double gate. Enough room underneath for the local hogs 🦔 to travel around.

Someone reached out to me to see if I could fit some top doors and a full door into a stable block….. I said sure 👍🏼.

After a challenging fit due to the stable block being cladded with fire boarding, insulation and thick kick boards.

I managed to cut and frame the opening and fit top doors to allow for better ventilation. And the full door for access out the rear paddock.

Customer very happy with result and horses even more so!

I love a challenge so bring it on 👍🏼

When the kids say they would like a playhouse. Daddy doesn’t buy things, so built the perfect playhouse for the garden to fit into the location. Outcome…….. very happy children 👏🏼 👦🏻 👧🏻

A simple little picket gate to finish the corner of a picturess garden for a loyal returning customer 🐄

A before and after photo from today’s install. I don’t like using braces between posts but there was no other option as I had to re use the current concrete post mounts in the floor and there was a little play in the post that would cause the gate to drop eventually.

It’s not just the gate that makes a job but the finish of surrounding trim. This one was tricky as it was between a window and gas box with pipes and a wonky fence to work with!

Customer is very happy with the end result. Which is my main objective 👍🏼

Some of my steps to building a heavy duty, long lasting timber gates.

Choosing 4x2 treated timbers. Half lap joints which are then glued and screwed from the front.

Braced from whatever side it’s being hung from.

Top cap added, then cladded in 22mm V grooved T&G boards, glued and pinned.

Trimmed to size and finished off with a chamfered edge to match the V grooves.

Hardware added to customers preference, this one had a mortice lock added with external handles added.

No reason this shouldn’t last for many many years to come 👍🏼.
