Welcome to our school community page. We would love to hear from you.
Today, St Lewis' said goodbye to this group of outstanding young people. Among the tears of sadness are tears of pride at how wonderful you all are and will continue to be.
Have a great summer break and wherever you are in September, we know you will be brilliant.
Don't cry because it's over - smile because it happened.
Good luck and God bless you all.
Mr G
Well done to this term’s reading raffle winners.
❤️
A wonderful achievement for our school to achieve this today and testament to the work of the Mission Council, leading all the children, guided by Mrs Ricketts. Well done everyone! 🙌
Today Y5/6 kitted Henry out in his new waistcoats - doesn't he look smart?! Thanks to Tracey for all your help with them too!
On Friday we said goodbye to a true legend of St Lewis' when Mr Dorrell retired after 28 years of service and over 600 pupils taught at the school.
We couldn't let this pass without saying goodbye in our own special way - bon voyage Mr D, thank you and safe travels!
More Y5/6 fun!

We've enjoyed our visit to the Burtonwood Heritage Centre and have had an interesting talk from John about WW2 aeroplane nose art
So proud of this group of Y5/6s tonight. Performing on stage with 130 other children from Warrington and Halton they were absolutely fantastic! Undoubtedly the best singers on the night, events like this make us realise how lucky we are to teach such talented children. Thank you all and to the families who came to support us.
Teatime! Rehearsals have gone great (St Lewis' sounded the best of course) and we're having a break before the performance later!
A wonderful afternoon doing our ‘Walk for Creation’ on Friday. The children explored the Pope’s letter ‘Laudato Si’ with different activities. It was lovely to see them helping one another in their groups. ❤️
Y5/6 loved our Wheelchair Rugby League session the other day!
So proud of our girls' football team who played extremely well in beating St Alban's 3-1 this afternoon!
Well done to them all and to their brilliant coach!
We had a wonderful afternoon at "St Lewis' Got Talent". So many different skills on show, our amazing children blew us away - so much that every act received a "Golden Buzzer"!
It made a difficult task for the judges but eventually they chose these worthy winners.
Thank you to our Mission Councillors and Ms Ricketts for organising everything and to our compere for keeping the afternoon running.
We had a special assembly with firefighters from Birchwood Fire Station this morning who taught us all about staying safe around water.

Year 5/6 enjoyed a personal safety session this morning learning some basic elements of self defence.
We finished a great Science Week with the annual awarding of the St Lewis Science Trophy. EYFS were worthy winners of the prestigious trophy with their amazing sand timer. Well done to all the classes and don't the children look brilliant in their labcoats?!
Year 5/6 had great fun making some water clocks in Science yesterday and measuring how long it took for the water to run through.
We were incredibly lucky to have a visit from Bart Gee this afternoon who was a truly inspirational guest. He showed us how with positivity and prayer, even the most difficult things are possible.

Today across the school we wore green for 'World Mental Health Day' 🌎💚
To celebrate the end of SATs, Y5/6 have enjoyed a film/crisps/popcorn afternoon. They've deserved it for all their hard work culminating in this week's tests.
To all the Year 6s starting your SATs today - "Good luck, you've got this!"
A beautiful day yesterday celebrating the children's First Holy Communion ⛪️
We have loved making dens in the sunshine this week. 🌞
Final breakfast booster for these hardworking Y6s today. Your dedication at coming into school at 8 every Friday is paying off!
Special thank you to the mums who have supplied toast, fruit and juice for the children each week (and the less healthy treats today!!).
