It’s not perfect but I got there ☺️
My final piece for my Silver Diploma. Inspired by the mountains reflecting the lakes. Made with brass, silver and a couple of sparkly stones.
My first year is officially done and sent off for marking 🎉

My daily stack 😍
A collet set stone on a silver band, a gold and silver set of stacking rings with a parti sapphire to top it off and a hex hammered gold stacking ring.
All new skills I’ve learnt this year. Hopefully they will be hitting my website soon
Well it’s coming to the end of my first jewellery diploma with I’ve learnt so much since September so I thought I’d share one of my favourite pieces.
When I first started the diploma my goal was to go back to the beginning and learn all the techniques missing from my self taught repertoire. I’ve done that and more.
This piece is one of my favourites. A claw set solitaire ring, hand made completely from scratch. Even if every piece I’ve made isn’t perfect the journey has been well worth it. So much so I start the fine jewellery diploma in September!
All the moons today 🌙
A friend is one soul abiding in two bodies — Aristotle.
Something new is on its way.
Like the best friendships an invisible force keeps them together.
That moment when you see your best friend. 🥰
New collection launching soon 💕
When I work with silver I always choose to work with recycled silver. It’s fully traceable and the quality is exactly the same as it’s unrecycled counterpart, making it an easy choice really!
So when you by silver pieces from me you can assured that it’s also a sustainable choice.
Ps I also use recycled gold but that’s for another post 😉
✨ The stars of 2023 ✨
I big thank you to everyone who helped my business grow in 2023. It really is much appreciated 💕
Here’s a little shout out to my bestsellers from 2023.
As always my rings were a firm favourite but a couple of new pieces made the top this year! You guys were loving my little gold heart necklaces at markets and a flurry of orders for my teardrop studs moved them up too.
Thank you so much! I’m working on my plans for 2024 that will hopefully see me bringing more designs to the table.
Happy new year! I hope you’ve all had a lovely break 💕
I’m back to work now so I thought I’d start the new year with a game of which would you choose! Comment 1-4 below, purely a bit of fun 😉

It will also be the last weekend to guarantee Christmas delivery.
Thank you for an amazing weekend so far I’m there all day tomorrow if anyone wants to come down and say hi!
It’s winter market time come down and say hi! We are here til 4pm.
And to mark the start of my Christmas market period there is free postage on my website this weekend. Are you looking for Christmas presents yet?
It’s a busy couple of weeks for me. I’m making lots of stock for my next few markets. I’ll be at this weekend and the next so come along to say hi if you’re out about over the next few weeks!
A couple of new rings are now available online. These use moissanite stones so they are super shiny. All except the last one which is a lovely sapphire. If you fancy a different stone in any of the designs give me shout.
I’ve been meaning to try this design for a little while now. I really love how it turned out. Imagine it with birthstones 💕
Golden, falling leaves for autumn 🍂
The online market is now open! And my Falling Leaves collection is now online! Head over to the market website (through their profile) and you can get a cheeky discount for the weekend.
I love these earrings 😍 I recently wore them to a friends wedding and they were so comfy for the whole day.
Newest coming soon 💕
Hi everyone, I’m currently in the middle of spring/summer markets so I thought I’d show my face on here and say hi!
I’ve been a bit quiet in here lately while I work on stock and new designs but I’ve had a few new followers so here’s a quick welcome and thank you all for the support!
Last weekend I was at the festival in Media City. It was such a lovely event with an amazing vibe.
Post photos from their photographer Mykola Romanovsky.
CREATIVE SPACE
This is my space.
As my jewellery making got more involved I decided I needed a dedicated space for making (and I burnt the dining room table).
This is where I work most days. I have my laptop on one desk for my design days and then my bench all set up for my jewellery days.
It’s a nice balance and it works for me ☺️
RECHARGE
Working from home means to recharge I need to get out away from my desk and bench and see the outside world.
It’s also spending time with good friends and family and completely switching off from anything work related.
I find I’m my most creative and motivated after a period away from workspace, when I’ve cleared my head and recharged
LEARN
Todays prompt is learn. As I’m a self taught jeweller everything I make is a very steep learning curve.
My jewellery making journey started off with my beaded bracelets. I still love making these and I you can still buy these from 5 years later!
Here are a few of my steepest learning curve pieces I’ve made over the years. From my beaded pieces to my first soldered rings to stone setting and then finally my newest collection. Each piece had its own challenge.
START THE DAY
My day usually starts once I’ve got my kids off to school. It’s breakfast for me and a fresh cup of tea (or 3). Then I catch up with my emails and write a to do list for the day.
My biggest struggle since leaving my job is having structure to the day so the first 10 minutes are really important to me. I can take off my mummy head and really focus on work.
SNIPPET
A little snippet of something I’ve been working on. Coming soon…
ALL ABOUT YOU
Hi, I’m Catherine, the maker behind Cicee Handmade Jewellery. I’ve been making jewellery for the past 5(ish) years and until recently I did it alongside my day job. Last year I bit the bullet and left my job as a graphic designer to go freelance giving me more time to spend on my business.
As a creative person I’ve always had hobby projects on the go but now I get to do what I love all the time and spend more time with my family.
BRAND ORIGIN
When I first started Cicee I had a very different vision to what it is now. To give a bit of a back story, when I was on Mat Leave i decided I needed a creative outlet. I'm a Graphic Designer so going from being creative day-in day-out to working solely on Mummy duties felt like I was missing something. Initially I started with crochet - I made a lovely christening blanket. But I soon realised there was only so much I could crochet for around the house!
I started Cicee with the intention it would be a blog and tell stories of me trying new crafts. What happened instead was I tried making beaded jewellery next and never moved on from there! So Cicee Handmade Jewellery was born.
4 years later I decided now is the time for a rebrand. Cicee is in a very different place now from where it started and I wanted to reflect that in my branding. So with a new logo and new colour ways here's my new brand. It feels more fitting to where I see Cicee Handmade Jewellery going in the future.
A little while again a mentioned that all my silver pieces were made using recycled silver. Well… the same is true for my gold pieces too.
All my gold pieces are made using 9ct recycled gold - meaningful to you and the environment.
