Hi all, hope everyone is keeping well.

It is Holi this Friday, which is a popular ancient Hindu festival also known as the “Festival of Love”, the “Festival of Colours and the “Festival of Spring”. It celebrates the triumph of good over evil and the changing of the seasons from Winter to Spring.

Holi is celebrated by throwing brightly coloured powder and scented water. Family and friends get together to dance and share traditional Holi delicacies. One of these delicacies is Thandai and is made using a number of nuts and spices which are said to have a cooling effect on the body and hence the name Thandai which means cold.

So, this week’s menu will have some of the traditional dishes cooked during Holi. I hope your taste buds are ready to dance to the beat of all the colourful and flavourful food.

As well as a celebratory menu I have also introduced a choice to select a two-course meal choosing between starter and main or main and dessert.

Get your orders in by 17th March, you don't want to miss out!😀

As it's pancake Day tomorrow I thought that I would go with the same theme for this Friday's menu. The main course and dessert will be my take on very popular South Indian dishes.
