Thank you for everyone’s support with our little bookshop due to working commitments I haven’t got the time to fully promote the books we were being offered and whilst the mini bestie is keen to continue its just not possible to juggle it all.

We still have some books and they are all currently half price (a huge loss to what we paid for them) but there is no point them taking up space and a very useful plastic box or 2!! 🤣

With the nights becoming darker earlier and the weather making us want to stay indoors - Amy has decided to fill a box and share some books with our local community - Warwick Gates!

So starting from Sunday 2nd October you will find a box of books outside our home for you to take a peep at! If you fancy reading one, take it out, pop the lid back on and off you go!! Take it home and read 🥰

When you have finished with it, you are welcome to pass it on or return. You could even swap it for another one! Feel free to bring any of your old books for the box too.

Please ~

🍁 Replace the lid to keep the books dry
🍁 Re-share the book or return when you have finished with it

Following the sad news on Thursday about our Queen passing, discussions with the 9year old about what happens when we die and what happens next in the Royal family have been had over the weekend 💔

One thing I’ve seen again and again on social media is that children are struggling, they are seeing the sadness, they have just celebrated the jubilee so will have learned all about the queen and now she’s gone and it will bring up so many questions and strange feelings.

So I went I into our boxes of books and found this book.

With easy to read questions and answers, it was a lovely book to share and discuss.

If anyone would like to have a copy it will be £7.50 rather than the retail price of £9.99, as we just want as many children as possible to benefit from this book right now.

The book is such a gentle and kind introduction to death, it talks about a rabbit who has lost his pet beetle.

The best bit for me is where it talks about feelings - is it ok to feel happy, is it ok to play?

Children may be seeing others feeling sad and wondering why they are not feeling sad or vice versa - their friends might seem fine but it’s effected them.

It covers everything and it’s such a useful book to have in your library as sadly we do lose people - and pets - in life.
