Introducing The 'Words Together' series and some of the artwork behind them!
The series was the brainchild of Kate Freeman, an eminent Speech & Language expert, who approached me to illustrate the picture books. They were created to support children to understand and use two word sentences, crucial to early years development.They use pivot words and use repetition of these words in a simple storyline setting. Kate has also written an accompanying book for parents and early years practitioners called 'helping children find their voices'
All the books are published by Routledge and are available via Amazon, Waterstones, Blackwells,Foyles,WHSmiths and many more, worldwide!
I have been immensely touched that friends with grandchildren have been buying them and would be delighted if you would pass the word around.They have been very well received so far!

Here at the Shipston Home Nursing gift fair. Ettington Community centre tonight until 8 pm and tomorrow daytime.It's going to be hard not spending my profits there are so many lovely stalls. 🙂

Excited to be returning to Chipping Campden Town hall for the popular Artmix show after last years cancellation. I’ll be showing some new colourways with my experimental hand painted and printed bowls together with some paintings, greetings cards and hand painted wrapping paper. There’s a great variety of work on show and it’s well worth a trip to the cotswolds.

I’m looking forward to this event where I’ll be selling paintings, Hand printed cards and wrapping papers and hand painted wooden bowls. I’ve been busy experimentiing with some exciting colour combinations to brighten up our homes. Do come if you can, it’s a fabulous event.

After travelling far and wide in my line of work I can hardly express my delight to be invited to work in the wonderful Moreton Morrell Real Tennis Court right next door! It has been a fascinating project to be part of as the club eagerly awaits the re-opening of the court following the laying of the new floor.
It’s brought back some happy memories having played there in my youth and I thoroughly recommend the game, which seriously gets under ones skin!

I'm tidying up the studio and came across this! How long ago was this Lynsey? The Bridge at Huntington. A beautiful bull's blood red paint finish above wood panelling I think...definitely pre Hettie!

Artmix at Chipping Campden went really well! ...so I'm working on more bowls for the next Arts and crafts fair at Chipping Norton Town Hall next Saturday 1st December.Hoping for a good turn out!

It's that time of year again where I'm in the studio as long as possible preparing for the Chipping Campden 'Artmix' show.
It can be rather gruelling juggling on-site work too but this weekend was an absolute pleasure with the start of the Emile Zola season on radio 4.Glenda Jackson returns to acting after 20 years in a " mash -up " adaption of his novels... and hooray! it continues all week.

the gorgeous Harry was my shadow for many weeks on a large restoration project. I missed him when I finished! he is very partial to a dust sheet and any rolls of masking tape going spare.

Chinnoisery comission to go behind an Aga...great fun!

Lovely to revisit clients in Oxfordshire and photograph some past projects.Time to update my rather neglected page!

I absolutely LOVED working on these commissions for a private client.The background surfaces were created by layering transparent and pearlescent glazes and they created a perfect bloom to set off their intricate decorative designs. Even when they were sealed with many layers of varnish they still had a superb vibrancy. One of my favourite projects ever! Jenny Edge
