*********************** FRIDAY FRENZY *************************
So Friday Nights at NLWCC have returned at last. What an amazing evening. Having multiple age groups, - All Stars, Dynamos, U11's, U13's U15's & U17's finally being able to start their Summer Training we saw an unbelievable 70 participants in total. What a fantastic turnout & what a brilliant time was had by all.
Thank you all for supporting our Friday Frenzy Training Nights.
The coaches Jimmy, Matty & Rei did a fantastic job - Thank you.
From throwing drills with the All Stars, Batting Drills with the Dynamos & Fielding & Net Practice for the older ones there was something for everyone. We will be changing the start times of some sessions due to sheer numbers & wanting to ensure everyone receives the most tailored coaching possible. But these guys did a fantastic job ensuring everyone had a brilliant time & we will see their development soar over the coming weeks.
What better way to spend a wonderful sunny evening than having a catch up with friends, a drink, a BBQ & being able to watch these youngsters have a fantastic time playing cricket.
Big thanks to our BBQ Boys & Fiona & Webby for covering the Bar & making a brilliant night possible.
*********************** NLWCC U15's v Alcester & Ragley *************************
This year saw some of these wonderful teenagers move up from U13's to play their first U15's match. With A&R's team being on the upper end of this age group their guys & gal proved to be a strong opposition for Norton. Still it was a great match & well played by all.
The step up to this age group is a huge one & a turning point in playing standard rules & no longer playing Pairs Cricket. The build & strength of the individuals is extremely varied & these teens are doing brilliantly starting out in this age group, I have no doubt that over the coming weeks with some excellent coaching we will see their development come on in leaps & bounds.
Congratulations to A&R & well done to these guys & gals.
A big thank you to our friends at Alcester & Ragley Park Cricket Club.
Another match played well & supporting all our youngsters to progress & develop.
****************** NLWCC U13's v TACH Maroons *************************
So it was a busy weekend last week with our U11's v A&R followed by these fabulous guys & gals playing their first match of the season against TACH. Norton put up a good fight but TACH were the stronger side on the day. Its only the beginning of the season & with some excellent coaching in the coming weeks these guys with further their development & confidence.
A big thank you for the help & support from our friends at Tanworth and Camp Hill Cricket Club for their support & assistance. Again the match was player in the right spirit with everyone working together to support these youngsters.
Well done to these guys & congratulations to TACH Maroons.

And the hangover cricket begins! The 1st XI face off against an side they will be facing in the league next year. Promotions for and giving some youth an opportunity to show their skills in front of 1s and 2s captains ahead of next year!
Another week, another Norton whitewash! Overseas star led the way again with a dazzling 132, and despite skipper 's best efforts to bring exhall back into the game Rich Blythe stormed through the middle order, before clinical bowling shows from and saw the game off with ease. A productive match in the 2nds for man of the match Matty Edwards saw him and Harry Clarke break the backbone of the Mickleton attack, the latter bringing up his maiden senior 50 to post a threatening score on a difficult wicket. 3s ace Joe Williamson backed up a run of strong performances , featuring in both batting and bowling honours after a strong and clinical opening show with John Maundrell, before himself, Bob Penrose and skipper Martin Hall dismantled the .social lineup.
The final week of the league season is upon us and all three teams are looking to go out on a win after last week's whitewash!
Young Ollie Watson will make his 1XI debut on the road at Exhall, with the returning Andrew Dellow and Richard Blythe both exciting prospects for tomorrow!
The 2nd XI are looking to secure a successful season in Division 2 with a win at home for returning skipper Bliwert, While Martin Hall's 3XI welcome back both their star performers Williamson and Purser this week on the road at Alvechurch.
Go well guys!
Another huge win for Norton and skipper in a game which Sam some epic junior talent rose to the fore! Excellent allround performances from Reichana Roberts and the Perdix POTM Ollie Watson saw the Sunday side cruise to a comfortable victory against old friends St Luke's!
- π₯WINDMILL WHITEWASH π₯-
After a long and difficult season, the club managed its first Saturday triple victory with all sides taking the top spot!
Overseas starboy goes from strength to strength, carting the Shipston attack round the park for a mighty century, before a solid, professional bowling performance from the first change bowlers Matt Edwards and Andy Dewar wrapped up the match, featuring a stunning grab from on the boundary.
took the 2s on the road for the 2nd week running, and before seeing the game home with his own flesh and blood the damage was done by in his return to action! More well rounded bowling from young Ollie Watson and Steve 'Webby' Webber took care of the rest.
Consecutive wins for and the 3rd XI were once again spearheaded by Joe 'wheels' Williamson as he rounded up half of the Southam lot before allowing Thomas Mcbennett to make more hay. The 3rd XI's leading run scorer continues to go from strength to strength, and ahead of the final week of league games we hope to see others fall in line with his, Burch's and Johnson's efforts!
Game time! and the firsts host Shipston looking to do the business at home, while takes the twos on the road to bidford! takes his side down the road to snitterfield where they will look to take all the points from their affair with southam 2s!
Game time! and the 1s looking to do the business at home whilst takes the 2s on the road to BIDFORD in search of all the points! and his near unchanged side look to get it done down the road at Snitterfield, where they entertain southam 2s. All round a big week for the players with plenty to play for!

The 1st team host on the hallowed turf, with the 2s taking the trip to both in search of huge points. Moreton-in-Marsh's trip to the 3rd team at Snitterfield sees young Sam Clarke make his senior debut! Go well, Norton!
*********** U11 **********
So the U11's have been very busy too. Playing matches against Kenilworth, Kineton & Earlswood in recent weeks. Its been a particularly challenging season for these guys as most had never even touched a Hardball before this season, let alone played any league matches. They have all pulled together & are united as a squad. They have come up against very strong opposition who have had a lot more experience playing hardball/matches. Again, now they have got their first season behind them we are already looking to the future.
Currently running Friday Night sessions for U11/U13 to play internal matches & gain more experience learning about match play, they too are coming on in leaps & bounds.
I am looking forward to seeing them all return next season & I can hopefully get some pre-season practice in to set them off on the right track.
Again, thank you to all those who supported, having parents able to help with scoring & umpiring is really appreciated.
