I used to look at myself in the mirror and think oh jeez I don’t look any different but need to remind myself how far I’ve come.. not just physically but mentally too
The gym and exercising is my escape, not just a job for me, and I’m sure it is for a lot of people as well

The main thing I’ve heard people say the last month or so is ‘I’ve lost motivation’. I’ll be honest with you, there are days where I struggle to leave my bed and it’s been hard with so much uncertainty with what is happening over the next few months. But we have our ‘road map’ now and gyms are aiming to open 12th April.

Chicken and rice but add a little bit of ✨spice✨
Not always plain chicken and rice for a healthy meal. All natural ingredients, high protein and within my calories. Instead of using canned stuff like chopped tomatoes, I like to cook food with fresh tomatoes, a little bit of tomato purée and water. I also add other veg like peppers/spinach/grated courgette, to make sure I get my veg in the meal. Chicken is alwayssss seasoned of course and I like to try different flavours with rice, so with this dish I used a pinch of salt and dried thyme!
Apologies for the inactivity on this account, I’m still here I promise 🙋🏼♀️ my hip is still in recovery so it’s been hard to exercise. I’ve been keeping my head in the books and planning to come back stronger and smarter 🤓

Evening!! Gyms are reopening but most of them still aren’t doing classes! Even though we got the go ahead to go outdoors I’ve had lots of feed back that during winter everyone is keen to do it from the comfort of their home so with the times below I’ll be continuing zoom classes! All you need is yourself and some floor space, it’s all body weight exercises targeting both cardio and strength based workouts and everything can be adjusted for individual fitness levels! Hellloooooo, it’s been a while with posting but due to an injury I can’t actually exercise as much and limited in what I can do. This might be going on for a while so I’m just adjusting and adapting to new ways of staying fit! Today I just did a 45 minute incline walk as it’s tooooooo hot outside, a circuit and my rehab exercises.

VEGAN PROTEIN ENERGY BALLS
I have been cravinggggg a snack like this all week and it’s so easy to make!
2 scoops protein powder .
6 pitted dates .
1/3 cup of nuts of your choice (I did one of almonds and one of pecan) .
1/3 cup rolled oats .
1/2 cup of almond milk (or milk of your choice) .
2 tbsp cocoa powder .
1/2 cup honey .
1/4 cup of peanut butter (optional) .
Stick them all in the food processor and blend! You want the mixture to be sticky, if it’s not sticky add water or more milk. Then roll it into balls and in shredded coconut (optional)! And done! Keep them in the fridge for a week or in the freezer for up to 2 months and snack wheneverrrrrr 😋 .
You get about 18-20 balls at approx. 100-120 cals each and 3-4g protein each 🤩

Yoga block core 🧘🏼♀️ these exercises are good for overall strength and stability!
1️⃣pillow squeeze into glute bridges - squeezing the block in between your knees activates the core ready to work
2️⃣ leg raises - keep your bum on the ground! To increase core stability raise your hands (like I do in the second half of the vid)
3️⃣ hip raises - avoid swinging too much to engage to core more
4️⃣ table top crunches - again avoid the swing in the arms and avoid your lower back rising
5️⃣ reverse crunch leg extensions - squeeze your quads as you extend it will fire up those muscles. And again keep your lower back in the ground (avoid the arch)
6️⃣ in and outs - to make it easier plant your heels into the ground but keep your back at an angle for more core engagement
7️⃣ figure of 8 - again to make it easier put your heels in the ground bringing one knee into your chest at a time
