Special birthday wishes to my son Adam 🎈

He loves his sports but after recent visits to Philladelphia has become a true Phillies fan - the perfect theme for this year's card.

Started on 12th June, now 108 squares completed 😁

Now the bit I hate stitching them together, pattern suggests hand stitching , I'm thinking crocheting them 🤣

Bit of a mixed day in craft room today - some success , some bit disappointing.

Have a long list of things to do since our return from holiday.

Finish a birthday card ✔️

Decorate some pumpkins for work ✔️
Some hand embroidery ✔️
And too many other makes to list, least I got 4 ticks today 🤣

Love the idea of the hand embroidery request from a friend. Each family member/friend provides a 15cm square , all squares to be made into a blanket for an upcoming new family arrival. Kellie wanted some wording and I suggested we use her in handwriting to make it that extra special.

When you see it on Instagram, which takes you to u-tube , you watch a video and you just have to make it 🎃🤣

Halloween coasters are a bit addictive.

I usually make cards, but a first for me making personalised T-shirts for our recent holiday - it was my husband Andys' idea 🤣

Two days in Disney on our recent road trip - received lots of comments in both parks 🙂

A special make I created earlier this year for a special new arrival.

A special coloured monkey (Barbados green monkey) - little Chloe seems to like him too ❤️

When on a road trip always go prepared - think I have failed this time as only brought 2 balls of yarn with me for this project , and I can't remember how many circles I need to make of each colour 🤔 and no I didnt bring the pattern with me either 😢

The question is will either of my sons at home be able to read a crochet pattern and let me know how many squares of each colour I need to make..

I finished the Hobbycraft Country cottage CAL blanket back in May , but had some surplus yarn left over, so I created a cushion cover using moss stitch with the remaining yarn. An enjoyable stitch which is both easy to crochet and looks effective.

When you have some yarn left over from a recent blanket, I'm learning not to just leave it in a bag.

I've started a cushion cover using the colours remaining in a moss stitch , which is not only effective in look but is also a very easy stitch - now to play yarn chicken and hope I have enough yarn to make it 🤣

That satisfying moment when you end a bobble row and have the correct number of stitches - phew (I've stopped counting stitches at the end of each row) - just over half way 😊
