The Moon was not sighted in the UK or Morocco on 29th Sha'ban (Sunday 10thMarch), in which case we complete 30 days for Sha'ban.

Ramadan 2024/1445 will start on Tuesday 12/03/2024.

The first Taraweeh prayer will be on Monday 11/03/2024. Taraweeh prayers will proceed after Isha Salah at 8:00pm.

Eid Ul Adha Prayer Timings

Due to the Hilāl (crescent moon) not being sighted in the UK or Morocco, Watford Mosque announces

The first of Dhul Hijjah will be on Tuesday 20th June 2023

Eid ul Adha will be celebrated on Thursday 29th June 2023*

Important note: for those giving Qurbani, it is Mustahabb (recommended) to not cut one’s hair or nails from the 1st Dhul Hijjah until one’s Qurbani has been performed.

By the grace of Allah, brother Veron took his Shahādah after Jumu'ah prayers at Watford Central Masjid. We would like to congratulate brother Veron and welcome him to the Muslim community.

May Allah reward him in abundance for taking this step and keep him steadfast upon this path.

Once again Watford Mosque Association was honoured to host the esteemed Shaykh Asrar Rashid. Our guest speaker delivered a fine lecture on the existence of a creator, Atheism and many more important matters pertaining to creed, based on the book written by the renowned Scholar of Syria, Shaykh Muhammad Ramadan al Bouti (May Allah have mercy upon him) titled : The Greatest Universal Sureties.

The evening started off with recitation of the Quran by our Imam, Mawlana Hafiz Janghir, followed by praises of the Messenger ﷺ beautifully sung by Munshid Sufyan al Rifā`ī and our guest reciter Hafiz Muneeb.
