Good afternoon everyone,
Thank you all for your regular support towards the success of The Village Kitchen. Some of you have eaten our curries, pies, KFC, and more for the entire 12 years plus - amazing!
As you may know, the Jiko pizzas are seasonal and the season is drawing to an end. This end will be Saturday 31st August.
Due to ongoing health issues for both Craig and I, we have reluctantly come to the decision that we need to close the business.
We couldnβt have done it without you all and it has been a joy feeding you and getting to know you.
As the 31st August is our last hoorah, we hope to see many of you for a celebratory pizza and goodbye.
We will now be able to join you for a drink without an apron on!
Lots of love,
Sam and Craig π

Hello Everyone!
We have sadly come to the end of our tenure at The Rifle Volunteer, but bring exciting news for the future!
With the enormous support and friendship of Chris Pyrke and the wonderful teams we worked with, we have enjoyed our time enormously and count you all as friends.
We started at the Rifle in 2012 in the midst of the banking crisis with Craig in the kitchen, me out at the front and Chris running the bar alone!! We managed to get through other crises, including Covid of course, only with the loyal support and incredible community spirit that you all brought into the pub, week-in-week-out.
We will always be able to think of glorious days of sunshine and pizzas, full curry nights on chilly spring evenings and countless community events that make me proud of the Village. Perhaps Iβll have to shave my head again!
But donβt fret! Our delicious curries, hot jiko pizzas, friendly service and community spirit will continue elsewhere in the near future, so please watch this space.
Again, thank you all for a wonderful 12 years, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
With love and good food, Sam and Craig at The Village Kitchen ππ½π
