It’s been a hot minute since I’ve shown my face on here…Hi!

Dog lover, sunset chaser, hopeless romantic and Schitt’s Creek fan here (David and Moira forever! 🖤) I’ve been capturing weddings since 2012 and still find joy in every moment behind the camera. Met my husband when we were 19, and we will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this month! 🥰

Emily and Sam really hoped for an outdoor wedding in the woodlands. Everything looked great and was set up perfectly, until a few minutes before the ceremony when it started to rain and we all had to run inside! The guests quickly grabbed all the decorations and beautifully arranged everything indoors, ready for the ceremony. Amazingly, this was the only time it rained all day 😂. The couple didn’t let this ruin their day at all, and we managed to take all their group photos and portraits outside just as they wanted 🥰

3 tips to help you prepare for your wedding speech:

✨try and keep the balance between sentimental and funny. If it’s too silly it might come as disrespectful and if it’s overly sentimental it might feel uncomfortable
✨ Keep your speech short and sweet. Anything between 2-5min is the perfect amount of time to deliver a meaningful speech without loosing guest’s attention
✨ don’t copy your speech from the internet- use it as inspiration but personalise it to the couple - no one likes to hear the same joke repeated at every wedding
