Saturday sessions

The guys are out today at a local school removing a Robinia. The tree was found to be heavily decayed at the base on a recent tree condition survey that was carried out.

As the tree is in a high use area, retention even as a standing stump, was a hard sell.

The positive – the school have kept all the woodchip and all the logwood to help build their woodland area. Win/Win 🪵

When a client moved into their new property the back garden left a lot to be desired. It was once a lovely, cared for garden. However, now overgrown the Leyland cypress hedge had been overshadowed and pretty much died on one side.

We were called in to remove the hedge and grind the stumps. This would open the garden up, providing a lighter garden and more space for new plants. With the addition of a new fence (to come) the garden will be transformed.

We have carried out work at The Anglers, a Fullers pub, numerous times now. This time we were asked to repollard a row of Limes along side the pub garden. We regularly carry out work in pub gardens, having the understanding that the pub need the garden open, especially in the summer months is key to our work methods. 🌳

We reduced this Oak back in the winter. It was great to go back today to a returning client, firstly to quote for additional works, secondly to hear first hand how happy they were with the works we carried out and thirdly to actually see the tree in full leaf doing its thing.

This was a 3m reduction, fairly hard. Trees can still be heavily reduced and managed if the knowledge and understanding is there.
