Rumsey's Chocolaterie Wendover

RUMSEY’S RELAY. Yesterday lots of the Rumsey’s team and family challenged themselves to complete as many laps from our Wendover chocolaterie up to Coombe Hill and back down again (5k) as possible. All together we completed 54 laps and raised £323 (and still counting!) for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. Lots of fun, a healthy dose of competitiveness and a few achey bodies this morning!

SUMMER SPECIALS…

🍓 Strawberry Tarts. Individual shortcrust pastry cases filled with crème patissere and topped with delicious fresh strawberries.

🍍 Tropical Fruit & White Chocolate Cheesecake: A lime and ginger oaty biscuit base perfectly offsets a tangy mango and pineapple cheesecake filling.

🥭 Mango Fruit Ice. A favourite of so many people, the taste of summer! A dairy free fruit ice but so cream in texture you’d be fooled into thinking it was ice cream.

ICED DRINKS. It’s another beautiful day in Wendover ☀️ Don’t forget we have a large range of cold and iced drinks… coffees, smoothies, milkshakes, frappes and more. All available to enjoy inside with aircon or takeaway in the sunshine. The chocolate frappe is a favourite of the Littlest Rumsey’s and I had my first Iced Chai Latte of the season this week too 🙌

Air conditioning! To regulate our chocolate temperatures we have aircon throughout the chocolaterie… come and enjoy it today if you need to escape the heat.

As a team we are attempting to do as many (very hilly!) 5km laps as possible from our Wendover chocolaterie up Coombe Hill to the monument and back down again. If a world recorded existed, I’m sure we’d be attempting to beat it!

Two of our lovely team are doing a skydive for our Charity of the Year Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care next month. To raise money they’ll be outside face painting today 12-2pm - come along!

TASTE OF SPRING. Our limited-edition Taste of Spring chocolate box is packed with exciting new flavours for 2024. Eight unique chocolates feature, each one lovingly developed and handmade by our wonderful team of chefs. There were just 75 boxes created, and already well over half have sold… so don’t delay! NEW! In a change from all things chocolate, we’ve just added these homemade cheese and sundried tomato scones to our chocolaterie menu. Its been a tough job sampling the different iterations our chefs have created, but someone’s got to do it right 😜

EASTER SHAPES WORKSHOP. Great fun today on the first of our Easter kids workshops. Each participant made and decorated a whole bag full of Easter shaped chocolates. Still a handful of spaces left in our Thame chocolaterie tomorrow and Wendover next Tuesday & Thursday if you’re interested (or have a child who is!) 😜

EASTER HOLIDAY COURSES. We are welcoming back our ever so popular chocolate making courses. This course is designed primarily for children aged 5-12 years. Each child will be given their very own Easter shape mould and with the guidance of our wonderful chocolate chefs they will pipe chocolate and decorate 18 of their own Easter shapes.

HAPPY EASTER! It’s been a big week at Rumsey’s. We went from worrying we’d made too much, to panic making more within a couple of days 😂 so I hope you’re all enjoying something delicious for breakfast! 📣 LAST ORDERS! The cut off for Easter postal orders is fast approaching. I know it seems to have come round so fast this year, but don’t be left disappointed or dashing round for last minute treats. We are going to have to cut off standard delivery at the end of tomorrow (Monday) and express delivery shortly after. We will continue to send parcels but won’t be able to guarantee they’ll arrive in time. So please order soon to ensure you have all the chocolate you want in plenty of time! We really appreciate all your orders, I’ve been smiling every time my phone beeps. Most items are still in stock, but some eggs types are now running low so get them whilst you can!
