Christmas Eve is my most favourite day of the year! I’m currently sat with a cup of tea and the heated blanket on, with just the tree lights twinkling, pup by my side (it’s her first birthday today! ♥️ our little Christmas pudding!) watching The Snowman. 😌 Just perfect.

I am always grateful for you keeping me busy making but always exceptionally grateful at Christmas. It’s such a special time and I always feel so honoured that I get to be a very small part of your Christmas - whether I’ve made a gift that you’re giving, a stocking for your pup or even the cutlery holders for your Christmas table. Thank you for choosing me! ✨

💕 Happy Friday! 💕 The weekend is almost here.

I did a food shop yesterday and spotted my favourite () cinnamon and fruit loaf! 😍 I especially love it at this time of year. So it’s a hot cup of tea ( - tea and biscuits of course!) and some toasted fruit loaf this morning for elevenses!

I took lots of parcels out for delivery yesterday before heading to the shops! Felt like Christmas! ☺️💕

I’m in my craft room today as I have some Halloween/autumn wreath and decorations to be getting on with! I might take little Olive 🐾 for an autumn walk later (see if we can spot any conkers!) - love this sunny but crisp weather!

I know Christmas seems a way away yet, but it soon is upon us! So if there’s something you would like, drop me a message to get your slot booked in!

I am a bit of a crafty buffet and like variety in what I make but the main things you will see from me are:

However, that list isn’t exhaustive so if you’re not sure if what you would like fits into the above - don’t worry! Drop me a message and if I can’t fulfil your request then I’ll always be honest with you and hopefully might be able to point you in the direction of someone that can!

I love working with you to create your perfect, one of a kind items. I will always be honest about what I can and can’t do and once we’ve discussed it/I’ve given you an idea of what it will look like and price - please rest assured that there is absolutely NO obligation from me to go ahead if it’s out of your budget or I can’t fulfil what you were hoping for.

Crocheted items often do take longer to make so please try to give as much notice as you can with those so I can ensure I have the materials and time booked in.

The weekend is here! 🎉

Working on an Autumn wreath that has been requested and honestly, I’m looking forward to using my hot glue gun to warm my hands up!

It’s been a chilly one today hasn’t it! I have cracked and put the heating on already!

Don’t worry - I’m not spending my whole Friday night crafting (like that’s a bad thing! Pfft! Best Friday night ever!) we’ve got a pizza on order so I will shortly be stepping away from the desk and stuffing my face! 🍕

I’ve been a bit quiet this week as I’ve been away for a few days with Mr B! We’ve been to for the week - I hadn’t been since I was kid so it was exciting to go and see if there was anything I could remember!

We stayed in a caravan - just love a caravan holiday! ☺️ and ventured out to nearby seaside town, for the day (and had fish and chips) which was fab too!

The absolute highlight, both Mr B and I agreed it had to be the Natureland Seal Sanctuary - if you are ever in Skegness, you just have to pay it a visit, especially if you are animal lovers like us. The work they do is amazing and to see the seals so close up is just beautiful. I could’ve stayed there all day! We spent around 3 hours there - we watched the seals be fed, we fed cheeky goats and alpacas and walked through the amazing butterfly house and bird house. They have a small aquarium and reptile house and the cafe has the most delicious cakes! All the staff were so friendly - such a lovely place to visit and great value too! It’s so heartwarming knowing that the money you spend there all goes to helping support the work they do ♥️🦭

We had such a laugh, as we always do, had a milkshake every day and spent ages playing in the amusement arcades like the big kids that we are! 👾🕹️

I’m so lucky to have found someone who loves the seaside as much as me! In fact, it’s played a major role in our relationship as it’s where we first met! 🏖️ We even had a poem read out at our wedding about it - Beach Chairs by Joyce Ebrecht.

Anyway, I’ve rambled on enough! I hope you’ve all had a lovely week whatever you’ve been up to! Enjoy the weekend ahead! 💕

🍂 Happy 1st SeptemBER! 🍂

The first day of the ‘bers!

They have arrived - the cosiest four months of the year and usually, my most favourite time of the year!

Autumn is such a beautiful season with all of the wonderful earthy colours, the leaves, boots, jumpers and fluffy socks, PUMPKINS and conkers! That lovely dew on a crisp autumnal morning… ah, it all just makes my heart happy! ☺️

Then as we move into winter, the frosts that make everything look so magical, as if dusted with icing sugar and a pinch of glitter - and hopefully we might even get a sprinkling of snow. 🤞🏼Beautiful colours and traditions as we decorate our trees and homes, that feeling of building excitement as we open each day of our advent calendars and start to see Christmas adverts appear on tv!

We have so many wonderful things to look forward to!

I didn’t enjoy the ‘bers anywhere near as much as I should have last year - in fact, they went by in a bit of a blur. I’m going to make the very most of them this year and I hope you do too! ♥️

Truthfully, I was really nervous about getting back into the crafting seat after such a long time - I’ve always loved crafting so much and truly love making people happy but I was really worried that people would have forgotten about Penny Pocket’s or just wouldn’t be interested any more. That’s really difficult when you’re putting bits of your heart out there on display.

How wrong I was - thank you so much for all of your likes, shares, comments and orders. I honestly feel so warm and fuzzy (and a bit emosh!) about it all - and that’s all down to you!

It’s so much more than items on a webpage that have been mass produced or produced just with a profit in mind. They’re bits of my heart that I’m sharing with you and although sometimes it feels scary to share something so precious because of what others might think, I’ve realised I’ve got the best supporters around! Hope you’re all ok. I’ve had a bit of long break from social media recently. I’ve had a bit going on and just needed to take some non-screen time for myself.

Over the last couple of months, we have completely gutted and revamped my office/craft room so it feels all lovely and fresh! I’ll share a picture with you all soon! Special shout out to my Mr B who has worked tirelessly to get it done and looking fabulous!

Also - you may notice a slightly new logo! I did toy with changing it completely but those of you that know me know that I’m completely sentimental and this meant I just couldn’t bear to part with my original design (it’s been with me since the start!) so I’ve just freshened it up a bit! ☺️

Finally - thank you so much for all of the lovely messages while I’ve been AWOL! Hopefully I’ve responded to them all now. It’s always heartwarming to know that people miss you being about in your little corner of the social media world ♥️

Sharing these as this will of course affect deliveries. I have looked at other couriers but for the poppies, it just is so expensive. I will hand deliver as many local ones as I can but please please please get your orders in early if you would like to buy a sparkly poppy this year as it won’t be as easy to send out last minute orders as it was last year.

I will also not be available the first week of November so again, the earlier the better to get your orders in to ensure you get your lovely poppies!

I’ll keep an eye out for any leading up to Christmas too.

I am making the standard red poppy ♥️ and also, the purple ones to honour and remember all of the beautiful animals who were lost during war. 💜

There is no set price as it is at your discretion what you wish to donate however, I do put a recommended donation of £2 per poppy. Plus postage (£1.10 second class and £1.50 first class - Royal Mail) As always - all money raised will go to ♥️
