When I started working with resin I learned 2 words that gave me chills😬 Amine blush😈 Amine blush is a cloudy waxy film that is created on the surface of cured epoxy. If you work with resin you know that it’s the last thing you want to see😁 Cause you can’t just wipe it off, you have to either scrub it (a lot!) with abrasive cloth dipped in warm soapy water, or pour another coat on top of it (and wait another 24 hours with your fingers crossed😅). If sizes allow this then do the following to make sure you don’t get any more amine blush: 🔹Turn on your heat mat 🔹 Mix resin and pour it into your moulds/on top of your makes for doming 🔹 Place then on the warm mat and cover with a transparent container ♦️Important: make sure there is ventilation under the container. I usually place the container on top of wood slices like in the video so there is a gap. This creates the perfect conditions for resin to cure: warm environment with low humidity. Hope this helps! Here’s what I don’t like…I never get to see the look on people’s faces when they unwrap the pieces I make for them🥲 People who love gifting presents will understand me! You really do! Resin makes everything just…so…you know?😀 Did you know that you can preserve your wedding bouquet in resin? There are crafters that do that! And what about all those table tops, jewellery, clocks, cutting boards, coaster - you name it! Pure art if you ask me. So when I started transferring photos on wood it was a no brainer for me - I simply HAD to try coating them with resin and I’m glad that I did! What do you think of wood slices with resin finish?
