A particular highlight of our year was being awarded a prestigious English Heritage Blue Plaque, recognising the important role that the cottage has played in the history of Weston-super-Mare. If you've not yet seen the plaque sitting proudly at the entrance, do visit us soon!

Our specially-created Christmas Party Menu features delicious winter warmers and festive favourites, all served inside our cosy sea-front restaurant or outside next to our glowing firepits.

And for afters, we've introduced a new, indulgent Baileys cheesecake, a classic pineapple upside-down cake with a delicious caramelised brown sugar glaze, and no winter dessert menu would be complete without traditional sticky toffee pudding.

The blue plaque scheme celebrates the links between notable figures of the past and the buildings in which they lived and worked...

Built in c. 1791, The Old Thatched Cottage is Weston's sole surviving thatched house and was home to The Reverend William Leeves - soldier, poet, musician and composer of Auld Robin Gray.
