Good Morning All, The club have been asked to arrange a VHF Radio Course. So Bob has been in touch with the RYA and managed to get them onboard, so we are looking at Saturday 23rd November and the price will be £75pp plus the £70 RYA exam fee. That’s about £50 cheaper pp than commercial course this is approx at the moment as we do not know numbers so please could you let us know asap so we can confirm this

Day 2 of the Regatta. Eleven boats carrying survivors of a fantastic evening of food and entertainment (the Dark Horses were amazing....the Pyramid Stage awaits!) Crossed the start line.
Sun, soft breezes, the only thing missing was palm trees and coconuts!
A tactical race, the breeze kicked in to favour the inshore boats to the chagrin of those who "stayed out".
Results
1st Lady M 88.4 min
2nd Lasten 89.5 min
3rd Jinsa 95.8 min.

Overall Regatta results based on performance over 2 days
1st Lasten 182.2 min
2nd Lady M 185.2 min
3rd Mirage 200.8 min

All agree, a vintage Regatta. Good food, good company and two days of great sailing.

Wonderful day 1 of our regatta!

Folks,
Following a superb breakfast in the club, 15 boats crossed the start line. The wind was variable and consequently, a shortened course was sailed.

1st Mirage 89.6 min
2nd Lasten 92.7 min
3rd Lady M 96.8 min

If you fancy taking part, Round 2 is tomorrow. Race starts 1100. (Breakfast available in club beforehand)

To ensure there is no confusion
BUOYS A, X, D and E are yellow pyramidal.
BUOY C is a red sphere with steel pole and letter C
BUOY B is a safe water mark, red and white stripes.
Saturday's race 1000 start. Club open 0800 for breakfast and registration

As you are aware, the MMXX1111 Regatta is the weekend of 27/28 July.

A few notes regarding sailing...
All boats must register before the race on Saturday. Race starts 1000 and the club is open for breakfast from 0800.
All boats must be insured.
It is helpful if skippers know their Byron Handicap Number.
The course is indicated by race boards displayed in the clubhouse.
VHF Ch.37 (N1, M1) is used for race communications

Following the race, results and presentations will take place in the club house. Lunch is available and the bar will be open.

This is the same procedure for Sunday 28th July when the race will start at 1100.

There is no charge to enter the races, however, a voluntary donation to the RNLI can be made during registration.

Don’t forget Folks it is our Regatta next weekend, Breakfast served both days from 8am £10, packed lunches available to order £6.50 and then Saturday evening live music by the Dark Horses with Special quest appearance from Bob Godbold of the 60s group Katch 22!! I believe he has since sold his guitar to buy a car ??? And food available on the night £15 to include food, £5 for just the music and the fantastic company look forward to seeing you all!!!⛵️⛵️⛵️🎉🍺🏆👍
P.s food is Chicken in white wine sauce and gateau for afters.
