COLOUR

Colour themes are an important part of weddings, bringing everything together and creating an aesthetic ✨️

To make sure your dog can really be involved and be part of the wedding party, we wanted to make sure we have colours covered 🌈
We have a range of 'off the rack' colours to choose from, but if they still don't work for a set colour scheme, we also offer custom colours ❤️

It's important for us to cater to our customers needs so that their furbaby can be included 💓

BIG OR SMALL

The biggest bandana we've ever made was for who needed one to fit a 30 inch neck 💕
The biggest animal we've ever made a bandana for is a llama!
And the smallest bandana and animal was a little hedgehog, who needed one less than 1 by 4 inches! 🥺

Just a friendly reminder that Mother's Day is Sunday 19th March - just over a week away! 💕💗

TRIAL & ERROR

When we have a new idea, occasionally it comes to life on the first attempt or only needs a few tweaks - these are my favourite ideas! 😊

But sometimes, things need a lot more development. The most recent example was with us creating a sewing pattern for a dinosaur dog outfit. 🦕

We went through quite a few prototypes, adjusting the fit, redesigning the spikes, simplifying the pattern, finding ways to keep it on a dog comfortably! 🐕
As long as we have the passion for the project, we're willing to keep trying again until it works 💪

The first picture is the final pattern (We got there in the end!), the second shows some of the stages, the last is Rocko trying a prototype!

It's March - which means it's time for

The last time we took part, the month was interrupted by the start of the first lockdown, but after 3 years we're joining in again! 🥰

The first prompt is Brand Origin - so here's a bit about ours ❤️

Well our name Giddings Gifts, isn't overly inventive as our surname is Giddings and we liked the illieration!
When we first started in 2016, we knew we wanted to create, but hadn't honed in on a focus, so we began with a totally different logo. 🙃
But a few months in, we had realised our main inspiration was dogs and so it made sense to use our two as the logo inspiration.

I had taken this picture of Baxter and Molly, just as part of the one million daily photos I took of them! But it was rare, at the time, to get one of them sitting so nicely together, so Chris used it to draw our logo (with added bow ties of course!)❤️

The sewing patterns for our dog towel hoodie are now live ❤️
