Harry LOVES to cook and we get away to Whitby as much as we possibly can, so it would be strange not to have a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is was put in last year from ✨✨ - and when the weather permits we eat outside in the courtyard (we have a bbq too of course) and in winter we get the fire on and get cosy and dine in the open planned dining/living area 💕💕

Oswy Street is very cosy in the winter, with the warming open fire and Nest heating. The perfect way to unwind after exploring the town. We have high speed internet too, and a bureau and additional desk if you’re looking to escape to the coast for a few days and can work from home. We often do this for a change of scene and that fresh sea air, plus the dogs are obsessed with the beach walks too. If you’re wanting a few days whether it’s holiday or workday then get in touch!

Such a special weekend celebrating birthday at Oswy Street. Last year I made a cake but this year we couldn’t resist the delicious looking cupcakes and brownies from in Thirsk. Absolutely sensational.

And then on Saturday morning we nipped down to to get some of their hot firecracker sausages 🤤 and paired them with some back bacon and fresh farm yard eggs from and .of.whitby buns for the ultimate birthday breakfast bun. Unreal scenes. Oh, and it couldn’t be birthday breakfast without a little champagne with a touch of homemade sloe gin.

❗ Unfortunately, due to Storm Babet affecting the setup, Illuminated Whitby Abbey won’t be able to go ahead on Sat 21 Oct and will begin on Sun 22 Oct instead. The abbey will also be closed on Friday 20 Oct due to high winds.

If you have pre-booked your ticket for Saturday night, your ticket will be valid for any other night of Illuminated Whitby Abbey. Simply turn up and show your ticket to a member of staff on the door! 🧛‍♂️
