The official page for the Wits End Cafe and Walled Garden Wits End Cafe has been a cafe since 1918, before that it was Taylors General Stores.
it used to be called Mirabells Cafe until about 1955 then it was called The Tea Shop and from 1989 its been called The Wits End Cafe to the present day.
Our magnificent display of begonias, fuchsia’s, geraniums and Tasmanian Blue Gum trees today in our cafe garden. All grown and looked after by our very own Head Gardener!

Our garden is starting to look like summer at last , peaceful and relaxing, come and enjoy a meal and drink if you’re at your wits end .☺️☺️☺️

Runswick Bay area, about 5:30 am this morning, I like to take out my whippets before we leave to prepare the cafe, this morning we were greeted by a badger walking along the path, fortunately my whippets were looking the other way! This is part of the Cleveland Way looking down the coast, such a pleasant morning after yesterday’s heavy rain and flooding.
Not seen Sandsend beck this bad in 25 years .
