This Wednesday brings us another "Quiz with Bish".

Fresh from his disappointment at missing out on place in Gareths Euro 2024 squad, he lowered his sights and, by all accounts, was one of the star performers at yesterday's football tournament. Effortlessly diving around his goalmouth without spilling a drop or missing a puff 🫡

He's weary and stiff ( according to Mrs Longstaff Bishop ) 🙈 But he's promised us another 90 minute MOM performance on Wednesday evening.

This week's good cause is The Markway School and the Jack The Joker jackpot stands at a whopping £282.

What an absolutely epic weekend 🍻

We've got a few people to thank. Firstly, to Jon and all the team behind the Whitchurch Folk Festival for allowing us to be part of the event. It's been an awesome weekend, and I'm sure many, many businesses have benefitted from the hundreds (if not thousands) of visitors to the town. It was an amazing lineup of artists and planned so well.

We'd like to thank Keith and Mick for running the fringe stage. The range of artists was remarkable, and for two old guys 🙊 they did a cracking job.

We'd also like to thank everyone who has visited us and had food or a drink over the weekend. Saturday, in particular, was unbelievably busy, and the patience shown by customers waiting to be served was much appreciated. There have definitely been lessons to be learned, but generally, in scorching conditions and with a jam-packed beer garden, our team coped amazingly and managed to keep a smile on their faces right through the day.

686 pints of cask ale, 492 pints of Moretti, 414 pints of Cruzcampo, 316 bags of crisps, 167 portions of chips, 107 burgers, 47 bottles of Prosecco, 7 bottles of River Test gin and 1 hot chocolate later, we're enjoying a well deserved chilled Monday.

Here's to another Whitchurch Folk Festival next year ?🙏🤞
