Had a nice mini return for a few shows, will probably be back with more towards late October/early November, got a few shows from bands like Any Given Reason, Carniwhore, Ingénue, Mother Thunder and The Endings - Telford coming up so I'd like to catch those.

I believe The Endings were the first band I ever saw in Percy's (pre photography), so it would be great to get some photos of them😁

Page update since it's been a while:

I'm taking a step back from photography, I've been struggling with my physical health and my mental health quite a lot, I'm also not really making the progress I wanted to make in terms of networking.

This isn't an "I quit" post, I'll still pop up with occasional posts, I've got a couple shows I like the look of and I'll be looking outside my area, but it's not going to be 2-3 times a week anymore.

Thanks for the support, it's been great meeting all the different artists and I've loved seeing them stick around on my page! 😁

Also speaking of the 5DII, here's my pictures from the Canal Festival yesterday, taken on the same 5DII/50mm setup!

I mentioned earlier in the week that I had bought a Canon 5D Mark II for £170, I stuck an EF 50mm f/1.8 on it that cost me £80 and these are the shots I took on Friday with that setup.

If you ever feel like you need the latest and greatest equipment to take good shots, this is band photography for £250, using a classic prime lens on a 16 year old camera! 😁

Bit of a page update:

I'm quite ill at the moment so might not be able to do any work on the bank holiday Monday, fortunately I was still able to get my photo sets out from last night which I'm very happy with! 😁

We've also hit 200 followers, I started band photography on July 13th so it's great to see the support since then.

I've bought a Canon 5D Mark II because it's a legendary camera and I've always wanted to own one, they're incredibly cheap nowadays (I also got a great deal on it), it has a full frame sensor which should help me get better shots in low light! 😁

I've started using Lightroom which is also helping me with low light environments, the photos edited on the 23rd/24th and beyond were all done in Lightroom.

I've also had to start using watermarks in Lightroom despite not being a fan of them, most bands credit me which is lovely and I always appreciate the great responses I get from them, but I've had bands repeatedly use my photos without buying the photos or giving me credit for them.

If you want unwatermarked, uncompressed photos, contact me after the set is posted and we can arrange something. You can still feel free to use my photos with credit, because I love seeing my photography on your social media, I've changed a fair few profile pictures so far😆

Hopefully I can grab some content for you all tomorrow, if I can't make it, I will resume doing Percy's next weekend!

The Backies, Unplugged

A little set this week as we had a small number of people and I was only there for an hour or so, but we still had fun and I got to try out my new 50mm f/1.8😁
