Iβve been working on a 1 - 1 basis with a teenage girl since June,our focus has been navigating anxiety, and negative thought patterns. We have been using a variety of tools including mindfulness practices, breathwork and relaxation techniques. We have been doing a little bit of journaling and mapping out what triggers anxiety, and what helps it to dissipate. My student and her mother have both expressed that they feel our work has been extremely helpful, which is such lovely feedback! It has been a few years since I took any photos of my Mother and baby yoga classes, these are some golden oldies - give me a shout if you recognise your little bubbas, probably around 8 or 9 years old now! My new Well-being circle for Mother and Baby will incorporate yoga for mums, Yoga for baby, sensory play and lots of time for mums to relax and connect with baby and each other ππ
What does it mean to thrive as a mother? Motherhood can fill us with joy and break open our hearts. It is an amazing gift of belonging and purpose, but can challenge us daily and leave us wondering who we really are. Itβs is enduring and selfless and often we can slip into not putting our own needs first, especially when we donβt seek the support of others around us. To thrive as a mother we need other women, to guide us, support us and shine their light along the way. Modern society means women have less and less opportunity to gather with other women and feel the support from them. When women support women we can show up for ourselves and our families with more ease. We can co regulate and learn to thrive. This is my celebration of many of the women in my life, who have supported me though my motherhood journey. Women who I hope to connect with more, women who I value and trust. Letβs celebrate the power of women raising women up, letβs celebrate the power of women raising mothers that thrive!
