Exciting news! Anth and Elaine are gearing up to take on the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon next year to raise awareness for motor neurone disease (MND). 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Rob Burrow, a beloved ex-rugby player and MND Association patron, bravely battled motor neurone disease until his passing earlier this year. The marathon was established to honour Rob and will continue to support his legacy and the 5,000 people in the UK currently living with MND.

Would you know how to recognise signs of glaucoma? It's a tricky question as it often can remain asymptomatic for years, meaning you won't notice anything is wrong until the condition has already advanced. Attending regular eye exams and booking an additional 3D OCT scan gives us the chance to diagnose glaucoma early on before you start losing your peripheral vision.

In the meantime, here are some common symptoms of both open and closed-angle glaucoma:

- Open-angle glaucoma - misty or blurry patches in vision
- Closed-angle glaucoma - eye pain, halos around light sources, red eye, cloudy vision, sickness

Closed-angle glaucoma is considered a medical emergency, so if you experience any of these symptoms, contact us right away to get seen.
