Our recycled cord plant hangers are proving to be very popular, its a pleasure working with Lynda @sustainable.decor on an exclusive pattern for our store. Lynda is a real delight and barmy about reggae, travel and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with macrame so she doesn't mind when I tell her to get knotting! Ever since I read the book Hideous Kinky by Esther Freud in 1992 I wanted to travel to Morocco with my 2 children and experience life there.

My career and life didn’t lead me in that direction and I started to feel that it might never happen as my children grew up and my health started to decline and then with all the restrictions of the past few years and being affected by my loss of mobility it seemingly became less and less likely it would happen.

I couldn’t believe it in 2023 when my lovely daughter arranged a family holiday for us all there and albeit I wouldn’t be going by train and staying in riads, I would be able to travel in my wheelchair and finally get to see, hear, feel and taste this amazing place.

I cried whilst travelling into the first souk and again sat in a rooftop bar with my children. Finally ticking off my bucket list place. Although I don’t believe my Moroccan adventures are over and I’m definitely not kicking any buckets for a very long time yet.

We found macrame everywhere as hoped and I came home full of new ideas. Here’s a few pics.

Back home after the trip of a lifetime. In honesty, I didn’t want to come back. Then I stopped at the bottom of my road and remembered how grateful I am …. for all that I’ve got and all that I’ve had. 🙏Home sweet home 🫶 thank you I ❤️ you and I will be back again soon inshallah 🙌❤️

As an ambulatory wheelchair and crutches user, it can be hard to transport items, drinks especially! Hence the bottle carrier!

After being constantly asked for it and even stopped in the street on several occasions, I set out to find the best version I could make.

Having worked for several weeks on the design, trying out various options, most of which sold at the makers market. I came up with an adjustable strap version in a lovely 5mm braided cord for strength and durability. I use mine every day and I absolutely love it 🥰

Here’s 3 of my faves modelling them at bedgebury pinetum at the weekend. They were naturals, I didn’t even ask them to strike a pose!

When you have too many hats 👒 although I’m not sure that is even a thing. Very happy with my new coastal colourway dye trial, I’ve only got limited amounts of items but if everyone loves it as much as I do, I’ll be dyeing to get back to it. What do you guys think ~ can you ever have too many hats?

What a difference a dye made 🤣🤣 been a few years since I got to play around with dyes. Pretty excited with the results.

I’m absolutely dyeing to see everyone at the makers market on Sunday 🤭 and trying not to spill the beans too much on all the lovely products I’m bringing along. Keep an eye on my stories where I’ll probably end up over sharing and revealing too much 😆

I ❤️ Whitstable!! Only 10 sleeps until the big day. Can’t wait to bring all my goodies out to this great market for the first time. Hope to see some of you there. I am bringing some lovely items, not yet available on my website or Etsy store, and I can’t wait to find out what you all think.

I should be working on my next big course project or making for my first craft fair but my bod isn’t up to it at the moment.

I have absolutely adored making this beautiful rucksack. Under the brilliant guidance of I have used a knot to represent the waves of coastal living and a beautiful pale grey/blue colour from for the sea.

This piece has taken a little longer and been more of a challenge than usual after I managed to burn the palm of one of my hands with boiling water. Which is probably why it feels even more special to have such a lovely bag.

I can’t wait to take it out for a spin on my wheelchair.
