Later this week I’m teaching at a space themed activity to a preschool / KS1 group, students can pick their own colours and shapes to create a paper shape collage of an alien. We’ll practice our cutting and sticking skills. Using a black marker, the children can add details and definition to their aliens. We’ll talk about shape, line and pattern along the way. #homeeducation #homeeducator #homeeducationuk #homelearning #artforkids #arttutor

Our next visit to Kent Family Learning is going to be a big one, I’m planning 5 sessions on total! The theme for this immersive learning day is Space and Star Wars (and yes, it’s taking place on May 4th 🤌🏻), 2 of the sessions will be working on a collaborative art piece across all age groups to display at the summer fair. This was an ideas generation session for the KS1 and KS2 groups doing this activity as I’ll be passing this on to other leaders to teach, as you know I’m a visual learner so I had to capture them in a video rather than explain it all in an email! What do you think?

Woah! What a day! So much creativity today with todays printmaking groups. It’s so satisfying to teach the fundamentals then see the kids find their own preferred techniques and style. Yet again, an absolute pleasure to work with Kent Family Learning today, thank you! 💕
