Wildlings; Forest school & Nature Playgroup

We hope that you’re all enjoying the nicer weather! 🌞🙌

Here are some pictures of our Wildlings from an after school club which we run to show you what they’ve been up to since January!

We have had a fabulous time introducing them to all that forest school can bring. 🌳🤩

Just a few of the many skills they’ve developed include whittling, den building and fire lighting skills as well as balance, teamwork, creative skills. 🪵🌿🔥🧶👏

We’re looking forward to another half term of continued fun and discovery! 😁🌳✨

Poetry, Tea and Me

Wildlings is back tomorrow for our parent and toddler/ preschooler session. We look forward to seeing you there! 🌳🐦‍⬛🪺🌱🪵

We hope that everyone was happy with the school they were allocated for this years school starters! 😊🤞

Verity and I will be planning some sessions on our site to get the parents and children together from Springdale, Rushcombe and Henbury View schools to meet and play and make new friends before the school year begins.

Thank you all for coming to our inset day on Monday , despite the weather we had a wonderful day . Dancing in the rain , meeting the new additions , practicing our fire lighting , playing team games , whittling and much more . It was a pleasure as always to spend the day with you .

Last night we gathered in our tea shack @ Mountain Cottage Farm and Yurts to celebrate spring . We were joined by some lovely creative souls to make these beautiful wreaths . They did an absolutely fabulous job 🙌🏻 . Lovely to meet you all and thank you for coming . Follow us to keep updated on future workshops .

Our little wildlings had a glorious morning , Thank you all for coming .
We soaked up the sunshine feeling the warmth on our faces , avoided the rain , went fishing and painted stencils in the mud .

RSPB Big Bird Watch weekend.
If you have an hour spare, log which species you see in your garden or local park. It’s great fun!

We’re looking forward to seeing lots of you this morning! As it’s going to be so cold we’ve decided to shorten the session today. It will run 10-11.30.

Our first meeting of 2024 tomorrow at 10am , come and join us for some Forest school fun and enjoy a cuppa whilst your wild one enjoys the great outdoors . Please wear wellies and waterproofs as the field is very muddy .

Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a fabulous festive time spent with friends and family and enjoying the great outdoors!

We had a fabulous first holiday club day before Christmas. The children met Blaze the pony and the goats and sheep on the farm. They cut and whittled sticks, made dens, prepared a fire and cooked apple and popcorn over it. We played games, made Christmas crafts and had a great day.

Tomorrow is our last club session before school starts back. A couple of spaces remain for a last minute booking 🤩.

Don’t forget to book in for the up and coming inset days , we still have spaces available and lots of fun activities planned . Hope to see your little Wildlings soon 🎄

Team Wildlings out today foraging for foliage for our Christmas Wreath workshop here at Mountain cottage tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you all for some crafty fun with the added treat of Mulled wine and mince pies yummy 🥧 🎄
