What excellent weekend it was! My first yoga retreat as a yoga teacher!
We practiced yoga and meditation, we relaxed in swimpool, walked in beautiful Yorkshire with dogs, danced around the fire and ate delicious food.
The weather did not disappoint us either. The sun was shining and sky was blue.

5 years ago I started my journey as a yoga teacher.
Here is a story how I discovered yoga.
About 10 years ago I was working nights in a very busy veterinary hospital as an emergency vet. Life was busy, stressful and no time for myself. I was suffering with backache, shortness of breath and horrible mood swings.
One day one of my nurses and now a friend for life suggested to try yoga. At first I was sceptical, but nevertheless went to my first yoga class and absolutely loved it.
I started noticing changes not just in my physical body but in my mind too.
Then life has taken me to a yoga studio in Hitchin where I met one of the best yoga teacher and beautiful soul who inspired me to take a yoga teacher course in 2018.
I can honestly say yoga changed my life for the best. I still work as an emergency vet, but significantly dropped my hours, and I'm teaching yoga six times per week. I feel better physically and mentally than ever before.
If you are still wondering if yoga is good for you, my advice would be: stop wondering, start practicing yoga, and watch the magic unfolding. π€ΈββοΈπ§ββοΈπ

My clients often ask how many times per week should they practice yoga (physical asanas). The truth is every day.
We all know if you park your car in a garage for months, it may not start one day. So why we think it's ok to park our body in a chair and then expect it to be ok.
You don't need to do a long sweaty yoga daily. You can just roll of your bed in your pyjamas onto your yoga mat and do simple flow to wake up your body.
Here are some examples on what you can do:
1. Begin with Cat and Cow
2. Add Child pose to Cat and Cow
3. Move into Cobra from Child Pose
4. Progress into Down Dog and Plank from Cow pose.
Start slow and hold your poses for a few breaths, then progress into one breath - one movement to add some heat to your practice.
