It was our little grandson's 1st birthday party this weekend so of course Nanna came up with a cake for his teddy bears picnic themed tea party.

Wedding cake last weekend, fruit bottom tier then two of vanilla sponge filled with jam and cream. It made a change to make sugar paste flowers rather than piping buttercream ones, having a break this week then it's time for mums 90th birthday cake .

Had a busy couple of weeks with two wedding cakes , one three tier carrot, chocolate and elderflower and lemon . With buttercream frosting and handmade sugarpasteflowers to compliment the bridal party theme of bright pinks jade purples and orange. The other a two tier chocolate semi naked cake with white choc buttercream frosting and sugarpaste flowers.

Yesterday's cake covered in ombre pink and cream buttercream and topped with yummy meringues. Had a few left over -not good for the waistline.
