Hello, it's me 🤗🙈 I'm all for testing out treatments I offer so I can give my own experience & outcomes when people come into clinic. These photos are post dermaplaning, and .uk restore peel. This treatment was done approx. 10 days ago. The redness on my cheeks, nose and jaw did settle quickly. The peel used was very superficial, so minimal peeling post treatment but some areas around nose, cheeks and chin did peel very slightly but more felt dry. A good reminder to moisturise and use my SPF! At this point my skin is definitely feeling smoother and I definitely haven't felt my rosacea flare as frequently as normal. I'd always been a bit nervous of dermaplaning and peels but this is definitely something I will be continuing with.

Review day yesterday to see the final result and make sure we're happy with shape and volume! Bottom lip has been evened up nicely by just adding a little volume to the outer edges and the top lip has been filled throughout to create a more symmetrical and fuller but natural effect!

Result - one happy and confident client who no longer feels that she can't smile fully because her lips disappear.

I've spent the last 2 days in London training and being certified in aesthetics so soon I'll be offering lots of new aesthetic treatments with my nursing qualification. I've trained just off Harley street with lots and lots of live models. It's been a great two days. Treatments will include dermal fillers, profhilo, skin boosters, dermaplaning and chemical peels, mesotherapy & more. Watch this space for new treatments to go live in the coming weeks. Soft Tissue Therapy is the management, manipulation, and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body. These soft tissues are muscles, tendons and ligaments. Soft tissue therapy isn't just for 'sports people' or athletes but anyone that is wanting to maintain or improve their body condition or recover from an injury or illness. Whether these come about from general day to day life, sedentary or active jobs or from gym/sporting activities.

The application of soft tissue therapy has been refined over many years and taught and developed in such a way that the most effective results can be gained from each treatment.

There isn't a requirement to be an athlete or sports person to benefit from Soft Tissue Therapy or 'Sports Massage'. Soft Tissue Therapy can also help alleviate many day to day problems including but not limited to: tension, fatigue, strains & sprains, overuse injuries and muscle soreness that everyone experiences. As a Soft Tissue Therapist I aim to work with a variety of clients to assist with recovery from injury, provide preventative treatment and maintain or improve general body condition.

Soft Tissue Therapy uses a variety of different techniques the techniques may include but are not limited to:

Effleurage - The use of light massage strokes to warm the area up and increase blood flow in preparation for deeper work. This technique can be applied broadly with the whole hand, fist or forearm or more specifically with use of the fingers, thumb, knuckles or elbows.

Pettrissage - The combination of rhythmical squeezing and kneading techniques usually performed with both hands. This can be applied to large areas using the whole hand or smaller areas using just the fingers.

Muscle energy techniques - A gentle but effective way of improving range of movement and flexibility. It involves a simple combination of contraction and relaxation of a muscle. A range of techniques can be used with this method whether that's working the muscle causing an issue where we would use a post isometric relaxation (PIR) technique. Or contracting the opposing muscle (reciprocal inhibition - RI) which encourages the muscle with the issue to relax.

Friction - This involves applying deep short movements to small areas of tissue using the tips of the fingers, thumbs, knuckles or elbow. Frictioning has a very localised effect on circulation but is predominantly used to break down scar tissue and adhesions between fibres.

Myofascial release - A technique used to release tightness by applying a very slow and gentle stretch to the thin layer of connective tissue surrounding the muscles.

During each appointment some or all of these techniques may be used to enable the most beneficial treatment depending on assessment prior to any soft tissue therapy beginning. Communication will be maintained throughout all treatments and no intense pain should be experienced. Some aspects of treatment may feel a little uncomfortable at times but this should subside as muscles relax and respond to treatment. Verbal pain scales will be used throughout treatment and clarified at any point required.

I'm Jess, Registered Nurse of 9yrs and trainee Level 5 Soft Tissue & Remedial Massage Therapist. I'm registered with the RCN for my nursing and The ISRM for massage. I am also fully insured.

I'm a Mum to three young children and two large dogs. I have always had an interest in how the body functions. From a singular cell basis to the more complex combination of cells working in synchronicity to perform functions that we don't even need to think about.

Having 3 young children has led me to a point in my life where I personally want to remain present in their lives. I began training in soft tissue therapy during my second maternity leave and as I come to the end of my 3rd and final stint (having made a very last minute decision to not return to nursing) I have decided to grab the bull by it's horns and throw myself into launching my business.


I was drawn to soft tissue and remedial massage because I can still work with people and help them with their health & well being but in a different way to how I would as a nurse. My nursing career has spanned across surgical, community and most recently medical care settings. My most long standing role has been within haematology which I find incredibly interesting and have loved working in.

I am in a position where I have now passed my general massage assessment and can begin treating people within the scope of my abilities. I am due to qualify as a level 5 therapist in March '24 and have plans to add further treatments to my 'treatment menu'.

I am fortunate enough to have a gym at home and I'm also a personal trainer, so in time would hope to begin personal training and allowing use of the gym for rehabilitative exercise programmes where this would be of benefit to patients.
