We were asked to support a provider with a Factual Accuracy submission following their draft report from CQC. With our help the report now offers a more accurate reflection of the service and in turn has improved the CQC rating from ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good’

Sorry we’ve been a little quiet recently, there’s been a lot going on at JakeW Consultancy!

We’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working alongside several new providers and teams over recent weeks.

We’ve also had the pleasure to continue working alongside some providers who we’ve now known almost since JakeW Consultancy began!

Here are some of the things we’ve been up to:

Here’s an update of what we’ve been up to throughout January:

✅ provided mock inspections and support to several services for a new customer in the midlands and up north

Just a little update as to what we’ve been up to so far in January:

✅ Provided ongoing support to a service in Huntingdon who we’ve worked alongside for a few months now
✅ Another service we work alongside in Norfolk has just received back to back ‘Good’ in their PAMMS
✅ We have completed mock inspections for a new client with more booked in

⭐️ We have also been busy designing our website which we are getting ready to publish in the next couple of weeks! ⭐️

Hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas and have managed to enjoy it in the ways you choose 🙂 we were very lucky and have managed to enjoy some time off but we’re now back to it!

Jake visited a regular service in Huntingdon yesterday offering support and helping to implement systems. He is doing some remote work and then also service visits next week for a new provider.

I (Ese!) am catching up on some filing and general admin work this morning. I have had to put on Jake’s hoodie, body warmer and gloves as it’s cold in the office this morning! Below is proof and a very rare selfie!!

We have a couple of spaces available for visits in February and can also support with remote reviews and we are also taking bookings for March onwards if you need any of our services please get in touch.

What a busy couple of weeks and things aren’t slowing down in the build up to Christmas!

This week we are:

✅ Carrying out 3 quality visits all at different services
✅ Taking part in a planned customer catch up meeting with a provider to review services and brainstorm ways of working & support methods moving forwards.

Next week:
☑️ Jake is travelling the length and breadth of the country to complete mock inspections (we will travel almost anywhere!)
☑️ Report writing following on from these inspections

📅 We are now taking bookings for March 2024, if you would like us to support you and your services please get in touch sooner rather than later as we are getting booked up quickly! We do have a cancellation list so please give us a message and we can add you to this list if required.

⭐️ We also offer remote assurance reviews which can take place before march to help you prepare for the Single Assessment Framework, feel free to send us a message or email to find out more and to get booked in ⭐️

This week we have:

✅ Created a ‘New Ways of Working’ report
✅ Completed additional CQC training to give improved knowledge and understanding of new assessing approaches and systems
✅ Carried out a mock inspection at a service for a repeat client
✅ Carried out remote reviews of documentation for another client prior to the local authority visiting them

Next week we are:

☑️ Completing two separate mock inspections, including reports and indicative ratings
☑️ Carrying out a service visit to implement new quality audits and systems to improve governance and oversight

🎄 We are also putting the Christmas decorations up! 🎄

A busy week completed over at JakeW Consultancy Ltd. Jake has now completed CQC’s internal single assessment framework training for the new ways of working.

A busy couple of weeks ahead, this week we are:

making networking calls with potential new clients, visiting a location and offering continual support by means of regular quality visits, supporting a long-standing client with remote auditing, supporting CQC and doing some more of my training and going to see some Christmas lights with the family.

Next week Jake is completing a mock inspection for a national provider and doing some more remote auditing for a repeat client supporting them to get ready for a local authority inspection.

A bit about us:

Ese has worked in social care for 15 years and has a degree in Applied Social Care, Health and Community Studies. She will be working behind the scenes doing the admin, social media and making cups of tea!

Jake has over 15 years experience working within the social care sector. He has experience in supporting older people and people with learning disabilities and sensory impairments within residential, supported living and domiciliary care services. Jake is an experienced CQC inspector and has his Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services as well as currently completing a Level 3 Award in Education and Training which will enable him to facilitate training within services. We’ll let you know when he’s completed this so he can help with any training needs you may have!
