If you're enjoying the sun this week, either in the back garden or out and about, just check that you've locked and closed your windows.

We've seen a spate of incidents in both Peterborough and Wisbech where people have been entering or trying to enter through open windows during the day and early evening.

We are appealing for information after reports of an attempted burglary in Orton Wistow on Wednesday night.

It has been reported two people were caught on CCTV trying door handles of a home in Ashleigh, Orton Wistow, before forcing open a door to a shed, but making off empty handed.

We have been told of similar reports on social media however these have not been reported to us, therefore we are urging anyone who has had their home targeted to get in touch.

We're particularly interested in seeing any CCTV footage of potential offenders or anyone acting suspiciously in the area overnight.”
