We have TWO fantastic positions available!

Cotswold Sewing Centres is looking for a new team member for maternity leave cover in our Witney store. Details are:
- 20hrs per week Monday - Friday
- 1 additional 7hr Saturday shift per month
- Starting end of June
- Up to 1 year contract
- Hours could be split across two people if required
- Full training will be given but an interest in crafting, sewing, knitting etc would be very advantageous.

AND

- 9:30am-5pm 2x Saturdays per month
- Starting August
- Permanent
- Possibility of additional hours to cover holiday and sickness/busy periods
- Full training will be given but an interest in crafting, sewing, crochet etc would be very advantageous.

SEWING MACHINE SERVICING 🪡

Did you know we offer sewing machine servicing?

Drop your machine in to either our Banbury or Witney stores during our opening hours (can be found on the website), and our team will be able to advise!

We charge between £69 - £89 depending on the machine. Parts are additional but will not be bought or fitted until the customer approves the work, and servicing takes ⅔ weeks depending on how busy our engineer is.

We are always honest about whether a machine can be fixed or if it’s time for a new one and our engineer has over 50 years experience - so we really are the best of the best!

All makes and models are accepted!

Servicing is an essential part of owning a sewing machine. Just as we would MOT our car - we have to service our machines at regular intervals to keep them running well!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Witney Shop will be closed today from 1.30pm.

We will be open as normal tomorrow!

Our Knit & Natter sessions start tomorrow at 10am!

So why not pop in to see us for a chat (and maybe we'll even get a bit of knitting done! 😉)

Today is the day we celebrate our Mothers ❤️

Without my lovely Mum I wouldn’t have the opportunity to own this wonderful business and built on the foundations she laid. I may not be able to hug her today but I know she’s here guiding me every step of the way.

We want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated knitted items to our Ukraine appeal so far! 🇺🇦

We have been completely overwhelmed by how generous and kind our community has been!

We are still collecting at both our Banbury and Witney stores, and will be delivering everything to the new collection point in the town centre.

We have been told that we especially need baby items, as the hospitals in Ukraine have been evacuated and temperatures are very low!

So there's still plenty of time to get involved 🙂 let us know if you have any questions!

As a woman-owned business with all female staff, today and every day we celebrate women and their achievements, and try to take actions to and promote women's equality!

We know that good things happen when women are empowered to reach their full potential!

In light of what has been happening in Ukraine, we've been looking for ways to help in any way we can 🇺🇦

We've been in touch with a business in Banbury who are sending pallets to the Polish/Ukrainian border, full of items to help support Ukrainians at this awful time.

We're organising a collection of knitted/crochet/handmade items to help keep adults and children warm, but especially babies and premature babies.

If you would like to contribute, you can drop off your knitted/crochet/handmade items at either our Witney or Banbury store and we will make sure they get on a lorry headed towards the border as soon as possible!

Our brand new yarn brand, Brennan Yarns, is a small family-owned British yarn manufacturer based in the Cotswolds.

All the yarns have 100% British fleece as their base, and the whole manufacturing process takes place in the UK. The raw fleece was collected from Shetland breed sheep from lots of different farms in the Cotswolds area - and was spun up in Yorkshire.

Spun with tussah silk, this yarn is so soft, and perfect for creating lots of beautiful items! We can’t wait to see what you create!

We are looking for a new part-time team member to work with us on Thursdays and/or Saturdays!

The role of Sales Assistant is so important to our customers' experience in store, so we are looking for someone friendly, enthusiastic and keen to help.

Hours:
Three in four Saturdays from 9.30am - 5pm
Every Thursday morning 9.30am - 1.30pm

This role can be for one person, or split between two, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you can only do one of those days!

Location: Witney Sewing Centre, 52 High Street, Witney, OX28 6HQ

Full training will be given, but an interest in knitting, crochet, sewing or other crafts would be advantageous.
